Salem, Indiana (October 17, 2014) – ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS
Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year Wes Griffith Jr. has won the 2014
Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award by gaining a total of 38 positions over the 14
race season. The former JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour veteran made the jump up to the
Super Series with the help of VanDoorn Racing Development and former ASA Racing
Series competitor Dave Sensiba and finished third in overall series Championship
points.
Brandon Oakley finished in second with 15 gained positions for the season, running
in selected series events. Fellow rookie competitor Paul Shafer Jr. and Chad Finley
finished tied for third with 10 gained positions each.
Cometic Gasket, the Official Gasket of the ARCA/CRA Super Series, will award a
$600 cash bonus to Griffith Jr. for winning the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award at
the 2014 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet. A driver had to be in the
top 15 in series points to be eligible for this award.
