Salem, Indiana (September 10, 2013) – The Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model
Sportsman Powered by JEGS and the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Powered by
JEGS will head back to Anderson Speedway this Saturday night. Both series were
originally scheduled to compete at Baer Field Speedway on September 15th, but after
Baer Field Speedway management canceled that show, both events were rescheduled for
Anderson Speedway as part of the Hoosier Park Racing & Casino Night Presented by
Storm Water Quality Partnership.

Saturday’s event will be the ninth event of the 2013 season for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and the final of five events that have been held at the fast ¼ mile oval. To date Jason Atkinson tops the series with three wins, including a wins at Baer Field Speedway, Anderson Speedway and one in the 2013 season opener at Lucas Oil Raceway. Trey Craig has two wins so far, both at Anderson Speedway. Mark Lambert, Chris Hacker and Brian Ross have all picked up one win this season, Ross’s came at the series last event on Labor Day at Winchester Speedway.

Mark Lambert comes in to Saturday night’s event with a 17 point lead in Season Championship points over 2012 series Champion K.C. Spillers. Lambert has not finished out of the top three yet this season. Spiller finished seventh in the series season opener, he then had six straight top three finishes and a fifth place finish at Winchester on Labor Day. Atkinson is in third place in points, in a season that seems to be wins or DNF’s so far. Atkinson is 20 points out of first place. Chris Hacker is in fourth place in points and is the leading Rookie of the Year in points. David Campbell is currently fifth in points.

The regulars of the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models will also be part of Saturday’s 75-lap event. Ronnie Rose is the current point leader of that group. Rob Allman is in second, Joe Woodring is third, Chris Hacker is in fourth place with Jeff Marcum in fifth place. Fred Hopkins was the winner of last Saturday’s McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models race at Anderson.

Saturday’s event will be the seventh of the season for the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks and fifth of the season at Anderson. Atkinson is also the season leader in wins for the series with two wins, both at Anderson Speedway heading into this weekend’s event. Single event winners include Dave Bice at Lucas Oil Raceway, Dustin Burge and Josh Poore at Anderson Speedway and Jason Thompson in the series last event on Labor Day at Winchester Speedway.

Entering Saturday’s event, Burge sets a top the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks owner point standings with a 43 point lead over Calvin Parham. Josh Myers is in third place, 11 points behind Parham. 2012 series Champion Jimmy Kirby is in fourth place, six points behind Myers. The Todd Marsh owner #31 is in fifth place with drivers Tyler Marsh and Wes Russell Jr.

The Anderson Speedway Street Stock division will also be part of the event on Saturday. Parham leads the standings with the Todd Marsh owned #31 in second place with drivers Tyler Marsh and Wes Russell Jr. Third is Danny Adams with Kirby and Andrew Cook filling out the top five.
Pit gates open on Saturday at 3:30pm, practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying at 6:30pm. The race program will begin at 8:00pm and will include 10 lap heat races and 50 lap features for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks. Also racing in Saturday night’s program are the Kenyan Midgets.
