Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Return to Anderson Speedway This Saturday, August 10th
Fourth and Final Appearance at the fast 1/4 mile

Salem, Indiana (August 7, 2013) – The Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will head back to Anderson Speedway this Saturday night for their sixth event of the 2013 season and the final of four events that have been held at the fast ¼ mile oval. To date Jason Atkinson tops the series with three wins, including a win at Baer Field Speedway in the series last event on July 27th. Atkinson has one win this season at Anderson Speedway and one in the 2013 season opener at Lucas Oil Raceway. Trey Craig has a win at Anderson Speedway, while 13 year old Chris Hacker was the winner of the July 19th PGG 75 at Anderson Speedway. With the victory, Hacker became the youngest winner in CRA history.
Mark Lambert comes in to Saturday night’s event with a slim seven point lead in Season Championship points over 2012 series Champion K.C. Spillers. Lambert has one second place finish and four straight third place finishes in the series five events so far this season. Spiller finished seventh in the series season opener, but now has four straight second place finishes in the last four series events. Atkinson is in third place in points, in a season that seems to be wins or DNF’s so far. Atkinson is 20 points out of first place. Chris Hacker is in fourth place in points and is the leading Rookie of the Year in points. Ronnie Rose is currently fifth in points.
The regulars of the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models will also be part of Saturday’s 75-lap event. Ronnie Rose is the current point leader of that group. Rob Allman is in second, Jeff Williams is third, Joe Woodring is in fourth place with Chris Hacker in fifth place.
Pit gates open on Saturday at 3:30pm, practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying at 6:30pm. The race program will begin at 8:00pm and will include a 75 lap feature for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS. Also racing in Saturday night’s program are the Anderson Speedway Thunder Cars, FWD Oval and FWD Figure 8.
