Saturday will be the second of four series events at the fast ¼ mile facility, battling against the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Trey Craig picked up his first ever series victory at the May 11th event at Anderson Speedway after a tough battle with Josh Cave that saw the two swap the lead a couple of times and race side by side for several laps before Craig managed to make the final pass with 12 laps to go to get the win. K.C. Spillers finished in second and Mark Lambert was third. A total of 26 cars were on hand for that event.

With his third place finish at Anderson and a second in the series season opener at Lucas Oil Raceway, Mark Lambert comes into Saturday as the series point’s leader. Greg Van Alst is one point back in third, but will have to park his car for medical reasons, while Jason Atkinson, winner of the series season opener at LOR,  has dropped to fourth after mechanical issues at Anderson regulated him to a 12th place finish. With his win Craig is now in fifth place in series points.

The regulars of the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models will also be part of Saturday’s 75-lap event which serves as a final tune-up for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman/ McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models PGG 75 presented by Motion Motors and Norick Petroleum that is part of Late Model Weekend on July 19.
