Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks to Begin 2013 Season Sunday at Lucas Oil Raceway
2013 Season Starts for both Series'

Salem, IN (April 11, 2013) – The Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS are both set to open their 2013 racing season in this Sunday’s 4th Annual Cabin Fever Championships at legendary Lucas Oil Raceway. This traditional season opening event had been held at Plymouth Speedway the previous three years, but with that track converted to dirt for the 2013 season, the event has found a new home at Lucas Oil Raceway located in Clermont, Indiana.

Fans will be treated to 150 laps of feature racing action Sunday with 40 lap features for the Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks, plus a 40 lap feature event for the Top Speed Modified Tour and a 30 lap feature for the Vores Compact Touring Series. 100 plus cars are expected to compete in Sunday’s races.

2012 Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Champion KC Spillers looks to defend his title starting on Sunday afternoon and is seeking his first win at Lucas Oil Raceway. Spillers will be challenged again in 2013 by Jason Atkinson, who finished second in points in 2012 and was a three time series winner in 2012 including a win at Lucas Oil Raceway. Other top drivers expected to compete Sunday are Tommy Cook, Danny Trent, Josh Timmerman, Greg Van Alst, Trey Craig, and Billy Van Meter.

2012 Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Champion Jimmy Kirby is also geared up to defend his Championship beginning Sunday and also looks to get his first ever win at Lucas Oil Raceway. Kirby will be challenged again in 2013 by Brian Hopkins who finished second in points in 2012 and last season’s third place finisher in points and rookie of the year Tyler Marsh. Other top series driver’s expected to compete Sunday are former series Champion and Lucas Oil Raceway winner Jeff Lane and his son Colby Lane, also J.J. Schafer, Dustin Burge, Tim McLaughlin, Larry Lathan, and JJ Haley.

Pit gates open on Sunday morning at 8am, practice will begin at 11am with qualifying at 12:30pm. The race program will begin at 2:30pm with any last chance races that are needed, and will be followed by the 150 laps of features racing.  More information on all the CRA Series is available at www.cra-racing.com
