EDCO Welding to Continue Sponsorship of ARCA/CRA Super Series Fast Qualifier Award

Salem, Indiana (December 20, 2013) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have announced that
EDCO Welding & Hydraulics Service will continue its sponsorship of the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award with the
ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS point events for the 2014 racing season, which will be the 18th season of
competition for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, which began in 1997.
“We are very happy to continue our sponsorship with the ARCA/CRA Super Series again in 2014,” remarked EDCO Welding & Hydraulics proprietors Eddie and Donna Van Meter. “We have been involved with CRA as sponsors and competitors for several seasons and look forward to continuing to have our company work with CRA throughout the 2014 season!”
Each event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier will receive a $100 bonus from EDCO Welding, except for the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier of the Redbud 300 and Winchester 400, at those events the bonus from EDCO Welding will be $200. In order to receive the bonus, each events fast qualifier must have EDCO Welding stickers properly placed on both sides of their racecar prior to making their qualifying attempt, if not, the bonus will be carried over to the next series event, doubling that events fast qualifier award.
Drivers collecting an EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award in 2013 include 2013 series Champion Travis Braden with four awards, Johnny VanDoorn with three awards, T.J. Reaid and Anderson Bowen with two awards each, single award winners were Chase Elliott and Chad Finley.
EDCO Welding & Hydraulic Service has certified welding services for specialty machinery, prototypes, components, tolling and fixtures. Their capabilities include MIG & TIG welding as well as the capacity for large precision weldments. EDCO specializes in light gauge sheet metal fabrication, especially carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet stock up to a quarter inch thick. Both Eddie Van Meter and17 year old son Billy will compete with CRA again during the 2014 season. Eddie and Billy both competed in select CRA Late Model Sportsman Series events in 2013, their team finished 10th in final owner points. Eddie also competed in selected ARCA/CRA Super Series events during the 2013 season.
