Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie Points Leader, 15-Year-Old Corey Deuser Continues Banner Freshman Season
First Ever Visit to Owosso Speedway Up Next (Special from Deuser Motorsports)
September 6, 2013
Georgetown, Indiana (September 6, 2013) – As he continues to stake his claim on the
2013 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year Title in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the last track on the schedule that Corey Deuser
has not seen before is the next race on the schedule. After the 3rd annual Big 'O' Classic
100 Presented by JEGS.com, the rest of the tracks on the 2013 calendar (Except the non-
points race at Memphis International Raceway on October 25-26th) will be facilities that
the 15-year-old has at least turned laps on before.

The fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Owosso Speedway, located northeast
of Lansing in Ovid, Michigan is next on the schedule for the running of the 3rd annual Big
'O' Classic 100 Presented by JEGS.com on Saturday, September 7th. Like most of the
tracks on the schedule this season, the Georgetown, Indiana teenager has never been to
the historic Central Michigan speed plant before. "Owosso Is another one of the new
tracks I've never been too or seen. Hopefully I can adapt quickly and get a good finish."
Deuser stated.

In his last JEGS/CRA race, the Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com at the fast 1/2
(0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana on
September 1st which was part of the tracks prestigious World Stock Car Festival, Deuser
continued to show the stout rookie class of 2013 that he was the head of the class as he
tied a career high finish with a podium showing of a third.

"Winchester; what else is there to say? It gets the best of them. I'm happy they extended the practice on Sunday after the rain washed out the Saturday sessions. It was a big help with the practices all day and felt good." The Hoosier State teenager continued. After qualifying fourth quick and with the inversion draw a five, Deuser would start the 100-lap main from the outside of the front row.

"We were able to keep second on the initial start and stayed there for a while, although I had a few bad restarts and then had a clutch slipping issue until the last red flag it stopped slipping." He explained. "I was able to gain the third spot back and almost had second. We had a good run though and I'm really proud of the guys on this team. We've really stepped up our program and hopefully this will continue." He ended.

Deuser remains in the points lead in the chase for the 2013 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title by 55 markers over his closest rival. In nine starts in JEGS/CRA competition, Deuser has four top five finishes with his career high finish of a third twice at Winchester in the last race and prior to that at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana back on July 19th. His top fives also account for his four top 10 showings as he is also fourth overall in the season long points standings, only nine markers out of the final podium position of third.

For the remainder of the 2013 racing season, Deuser's Red and Silver #14 Ford Fusion which is a Port City Racecars chassis will carry sponsorship support and decals from Focus Eyewear as well as Deuser Electric, Arc Construction Management, Clayton Homes, Lucas Oil Products, RacerBoost.com, Big O Tires, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H.
