Lauren Bush Signs With Racing Awareness Team For 2014; Set To Travel For The Rest Of 2013
Owosso Speedway with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour begins Post-Season Travels for soon to be 20-year-old

Hastings, Michigan (September 6, 2013) – After completing her 2013 season at her home
track of Berlin Raceway in the tracks Template Super Late Models Series, Lauren Bush
is excited to say the least about the prospects of the upcoming 2014 campaign. It was
announced recently that the 19-year-old will join the RacingAwareness.com Supporting
Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Team for next season as a teammate to Berlin veteran,
Dave Lake.

However, the 2013 racing season is not quite over yet for the Hastings, Michigan driver as
she hopes to be celebrating her addition to the Racing Awareness team as well as her
20th birthday a day early on Saturday, September 7th in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance event; the 3rd annual Big 'O' Classic 100 Presented
by JEGS.com at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Owosso Speedway,
located northeast of Lansing, or about 90 minutes east of the Lauren Bush Racing shops.

"I'm excited about going to Owosso and participating in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. I
love traveling to other tracks and getting more experience because it makes a better
driver out of you." Bush remarked as her and the Lauren Bush Racing Team prepare for
the relatively short trip east. "I'm even more excited about next year because I get to do
my two most favorite things which is race and be around and help children. I have always
had a huge heart for children." She added.

Bush has made five career JEGS/CRA starts with two top 10 finishes to her credit,
including a career high eighth at the legendary high-banks of  Winchester Speedway in
Winchester, Indiana in 2011. Her other top 10 came, ironically at Owosso also in 2011 when she scored a 10th place finish at the Central Michigan high-banked speed plant. So she knows the track and is hoping for a solid finish, which could lead into more events in her own Lauren Bush Racing entry before heading over to the Racing Awareness Team for 2014.

As for her new team for the 2014 season, RacingAwareness.com is a 501c3 charity, and the team donates its earnings to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation. The team was created in 2010 and has raised over $100,000 since its inception. The past two seasons. Dave Lake has driven the primary Super Late Model for the team and finished fourth this season in the series points while he was seventh in 2012.

“I feel extremely blessed to have such an opportunity, to be part of this team environment and race for a team with more backing,” Continued Bush. “But the biggest thing I love about them is what they do for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. I have always been the one playing with the little kids and trying to keep them happy. Two of my favorite things are racing and working with kids, and to be able to do both of them is going to be awesome.” She ended

The soon to be 20-year-old (On September 8th) Bush is a third generation driver and the daughter of Joe Bush, who won Berlin Raceway Outlaw Super Late Model track championships in 1992, 1993 & 2004. He also scored the 1991 Kalamazoo Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model track championship as well.

She started her racing career at 14 years old, competing in the Arena Racing Series at the Delta Plex Arena before progressing to a full-sized stock car at Berlin Raceway in 2009 in the tracks old Young Guns division where she finished sixth in points. She also made her first career start in CRA competition that season when she competed with the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series at Winchester and finished 15th in her first start there.

One year later in 2010, she moved up to the Pro Stocks division and finished fifth in the points standings. She also made two more starts in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio and back at Winchester that October and picked up finishes of 11th and 13th respectively.

The 2011 season saw Bush make the biggest move of her career as she jumped behind the wheel of a Template Late Model competing at her home track of Berlin as well as making select appearance in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. She finished eighth in the points at Berlin in the first year for the tracks new Template Super Late Models Series. In 2012 she just missed the top 10 in points as she was 11th, but did garner her career high finish in a Late Model as she finished fifth on September 1, 2012 during the Inaugural Chet Championship Weekend at her home track.
