Dryden, Michigan (September 5, 2013) – A tough season continued for Jimmy Novak in his
last event with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance back on
August 10th at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Michigan. After getting his car repaired from
an accident in the previous event at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana on July 26th,
the bad luck year continued for the Dryden, Michigan driver who was involved in a lap three
which ended his night early.
After getting his familiar black #53 Ferris Commercial Mowers / Ford back together one
more time, the 20-year-old is hoping to turn around what's left of the 2013 racing season
at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Owosso Speedway in Ovid,
Michigan for the running of the 3rd annual Big 'O' Classic 100 Presented by JEGS.com on
Saturday, September 7th.
"We know this bad luck can't last forever. Hopefully we can turn this year around with a
good run at Owosso." Novak stated as he and his Novak Motorsports crew continue final
preparations before making the short 90 minute trip West to Owosso. "I'm really hoping
we can get some luck our way this weekend and finally pull off the win we've been trying
so hard for. When we've actually raced, we've been pretty good. Just want to get this
monkey off our back." He added.
Despite now missing three points races in JEGS/CRA action, Novak is still 15th in the points chase just 32 points out of the 14th position as he has scored two top 10 finishes with a season high of an eighth after winning the Last Chance Race at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio back on May 25th in the CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com and earning the Hard-Charger Award in the process.
