Tied For Fifth In JEGS/CRA Points; Jerrod Foley Heads To Springport Motor Speedway

Mathematically Still Alive in the Chase for the 2013 Series Championship (Special from J.L.J. Motorsports)

Williamsburg, Kentucky (September 11, 2013) – After getting rained out at Owosso

Speedway on September 7th, Jerrod Foley and his family owned and operated J.L.J.

Motorsports Team are preparing for a return trip to the state of Michigan for the second

time in a week. This time the 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval  of Springport

Motor Speedway, located south of Lansing and north of Jackson in Springport, Michigan

awaits.

This event was originally on the schedule as the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented

by Chevrolet Performance season opener back on April 28th, but Mother Nature ruined

those plans and forced Series and Track Officials to then have to reschedule what is now

titled the Springport Fall Brawl 100 Presented by JEGS.com to this Saturday, September

14th.

"I just hate it that we got rained out at Owosso. We were really looking forward to that

race, especially after we were so good there last year," The 21-year-old said. "We are

excited about going back to Springport though after getting rained out earlier in the

season, we think we had a very good car in the practice we did have." The Williamsburg,

Kentucky driver added.

As for the Springport race, Foley remains tied for fifth in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour points standings 55 points out of fourth place. In 10 total JEGS/CRA points races so far in 2013 including the non-points race at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia back on January 27th which was part of SpeedFest 2013, Foley has collected three top 10 finishes with a season high of sixth coming at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio back on May 25th in the CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com. He also has at least a top 15 showing in seven of the 10 total races.
