Jimmy Novak Looking Forward To Return Trip To Auto City Speedway, Site Of Career High Finish in JEGS/CRA Finished a Career High Fourth One Season Ago at Tricky 7/16s Mile (Special from Novak Motorsports)
August 9, 2013
Dryden, Michigan (August 9, 2013) – It's been a trying season for Dryden, Michigan driver,
Jimmy Novak as he continues to travel to as many JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented
by Chevrolet Performance events as possible during the 2013 racing season. The next
race on the schedule is much closer to home for the 20-year-old and is at a track where
he's seen some success at in the past.

The tricky 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Auto City Speedway, located
only an hour away from the Novak Motorsports race shop in Clio, Michigan is the site for
the Silver Bullet 100 Presented by Coors Light & JEGS.com on Saturday, August 10th.

The track located north of Flint was one of three facilities that Novak won the Rookie of
the Year title in 2010 in the tracks weekly Super Stocks division, with rules mirroring the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. It's also the site of his career high finish in JEGS/CRA
competition as he scored a fourth place showing in last year's BRAD 100 Presented by
JEGS.com in front of eventual 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion, Brad
Keselowski.

"We're really looking forward to this weekend at one of my home tracks. Our whole team
is excited to get back to our local track and hoping to have as strong of a run as we did at Dixie before our caliper bolt broke leading the race." Novak stated as he and his team make final preparations before making the short trip West. "Hoping we can get some luck our way this weekend and finally pull off the win we've been trying so hard for." He added.

His last JEGS/CRA race, the Night of the Stars 100 Presented by JEGS.com at the famed Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana, located just west of Indianapolis on July 26th, Novak slammed the wall with just nine laps to go ending his night with a torn up racecar. "LOR isn't one of my favorite tracks so I was just looking to do what we could and try to get the car up front. We struggled trying to get the car were we needed it." He explained.

"In the race we ended up a lap down trying to get through traffic then ended up getting our lap back, but never got a caution to get our spot back. Then our locker had an issue shooting the car into the wall ending our night. Thanks to my guys for all the hard work and we just need some good luck our way." The driver of the #53 Ferris Industries  / Ford ended.

Despite missing two points races in JEGS/CRA action, Novak is 16th in the points chase just 22 points out of the top 15 as he has collected two top 10 finishes with a season high of an eighth after winning the Last Chance Race at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio back on May 25th in the CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com and earning the Hard-Charger Award in the  process.
