Jerrod Foley Sitting In Fifth Place In JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Points Heading To Auto City Speedway
Hoping to Improve on Seventh Place Finish from a Season ago (Special from J.L.J. Motorsports)
August 7, 2013
Williamsburg, Kentucky (August 7, 2013) – As the 2013 racing season rolls on for Jerrod
Foley and the J.L.J. Motorsports Team as they continue their quest for the 2013 JEGS/
CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the team knows they are
contenders for wins and even the Championship. What they are looking for is for that little
extra 'something' to bring everything all together for the family oriented team.

The Silver Bullet 100 Presented by Coors Light & JEGS.com is set for Saturday, August
10th at the uniquely shaped 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Auto City
Speedway, located north of Flint in Clio, Michigan is the next race on the 2013 JEGS/
CRA schedule. Foley finished seventh there in 2012 in what was the BRAD 100
Presented by JEGS.com and was one of the few JEGS/CRA regulars to adapt to the
track quickly.

"Monday morning after getting back from the last race, Dad (Car Owner & Crew Chief,
Jim Foley got to the shop to check out the car and found numerous problems to the
suspension," Explained the Williamsburg, Kentucky driver. "We're looking forward to
going back to Auto City and come out of there with a good finish and pick up some points
on the guys in front of us. Still a long season yet to go." He added.

In his last race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana on July 26, Foley did 'double-duty' as in addition to the JEGS/CRA portion of the night, he also raced in the headlining ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS part of the Night of the Stars Twin 100s. Both of Foley's cars struggled as he qualified 20th and finished 22nd in the JEGS/CRA race while timing in 26th and finishing 24th in the ARCA/CRA race. Both finishes not what the team was expecting.

"Coming off the trailer for practice we hoped for two perfect cars to make our weekend much easier. That's exactly what we didn't get, especially on our pro car." Explained the 21-year-old. "We seemed to struggle through every practice, constantly making adjustments and even a mach qualifying set of tires and still got nowhere near where we wanted to be."

"From the green flag to the checkers in the JEGS/CRA race we struggled to get a handle of the car, even at one point coming in an making adjustments but still couldn't help." He continued. "As for the ARCA/CRA race, we started nearly last and actually had an awesome race. I was able to drive the car, save tires, and stay out of trouble. We had picked up 14 positions and was in 12th place with fives to go on a caution when the left rear axle broke and took us out of the race." He ended.

Foley is fifth in the JEGS/CRA points standings just 12 points out of fourth place. In eight total JEGS/CRA points races so far in 2013 including the non-points race at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia back on January 27th which was part of SpeedFest 2013, Foley has accumulated three top 10 finishes with a season high of sixth coming at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio back on May 25th in the CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

For the rest of the 2013 racing season, Foley’s Black and Red JEGS/CRA car, a Chevrolet Impala and the new Yellow ARCA/CRA #04 J.L.J. Motorsports / Port City Racecars entry, a Ford Fusion will both carry sponsorship decals from Quality Care Auto as well as Manton Financial Services, Imprint Warehouse Screen Printing, DAL Fishing Jigs, Advance Auto Parts, Baker Performance Parts, Ace in the Hole Motorsports and M.P.H.
