JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Auto City Speedway Saturday, August 10th
Tricky 7/16s Mile Oval Offers Unique Challenges to JEGS/CRA Teams

Salem, Indiana (August 6, 2013) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will be back in action this Saturday night in the Silver Bullet 100 Presented by Coors Light and JEGS.com at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Michigan. Saturday’s event at the tricky 7/16’s oval will be the eighth event in the 13 race 2013 schedule for the Crate Motor Series sanctioned by Champion Racing Association.

Topping the list of entries for Friday’s Silver Bullet 100 Presented by Coors Light and JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is two time winner and current points’ leader Cody Coughlin. The 17 year old has rocketed to the top of the points at the halfway point of the 2013 season with his first ever wins with the series including a win at the series event on June 22nd on the famed High Banks of Salem Speedway and a win on June 7th at Dixie Motor Speedway.

Coughlin currently has a 15 point lead over Tom Woodin, who is also entered along with Birch Run, Michigan native Dan Leeck, who is third in series points, only 18 points out of first. Other top series competitors who are entered include Jerrod Foley, Jason Dietsch, Keith Sterkowitz, Jimmy Novak and Jay Sommers. A large group of Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Presented by Howe Racing candidates is also entered including current rookie point’s leader Corey Deuser, as well as fellow rookies Jake Griffin, Kyle Crump, Kody Evans, Marc Jacobs, Dominique Van Wieringen, Hunter Baize and Jaxson Jacobs.

2012 series Championship car owner Scott Neal will jump behind the wheel of his own #77 machine for this Saturday’s race, Neal has been a winner with CRA in the past with the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks. Several local drivers will be competing in Saturday night’s race including Clio residents David McManus and Kyle Hayden. Other local drivers entered include Robbie Johnson, Pat Zorn, Lonnie Saumier, Andrew Wyatt and Phillip Smalley who will be making his series debut Saturday night.

There is an open practice at Auto City Speedway on Friday, pits open at 4pm, with practice from 4:30 until 8:30pm. Pits open on Saturday at 1pm, practice begins at 4pm for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour with qualifying at 6pm. The race program will begin at 7pm and will include the Silver Bullet 100 Presented by Coors Light and JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance.  Also racing Saturday night will be the Auto City Speedway Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Hornets.
