Glen Ellyn, Illinois (August 1, 2013) – After winning for the third straight time in three
appearances at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana, Trent Snyder is in the unusual
position of looking for a ride for the remainder of the 2013 racing season. The Glen Ellyn,
Illinois veteran is coming off his third consecutive victory in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval,
but it took a lot of time and effort to even make the trip to Central Indiana.
"Overall I honestly couldn't be any happier. We had to spend a lot of money to get the car
back together after the wreck at I-44 in May as well as a ton of time." Explained the 29-
year-old. "Since I work full time and then I'm the only one in the shop, this is such a great
comeback from being almost to the point of quitting. Plus it's three in a row at Anderson.
This is just awesome and it feels great to be the first guy to have a record like that in the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour." He added.
It was far from easy for the driver originally from Ironton, Minnesota as he had to pass and
then fend off invading Southern standout, Bubba Pollard to score that third straight victory
at Anderson. "It was just a heck of a battle with Bubba. I have a great deal of respect for
him and he didn't make it easy on me by any means. He's a great guy and one of the
most fierce competitors I've ever had the pleasure of racing with." Snyder continued.
"Also it was very tough not having my Dad there. This was only the second race that he has missed in my 20-year career." Snyder offered. "He's battling some health issues and I hope to have him back to good shape soon. I Love him very much and I owe him everything. He has been my greatest role model and I wouldn't be half the man I am today without him." The 2007 Champion in the now defunct Varney Late Model Northern Series added.
As for the rest of the 2013 racing season, Snyder is actively seeking a sponsor and/or a ride with another team for the balance of the year. "I just want to be able to race more than I have, we've only been out twice this year. I've got a lot of experience and think that my driving ability speaks for itself and I just don't want to miss out on any more opportunities." He said.
"I do owe a huge thanks to my sponsors that have supported me this season in the two shows we have ran. They knew coming into the year that we wouldn't be racing much." He ended. Those sponsors on the black and blue #88 Medwest Associates, OvernightWraps.com, Great Deals Magazine, Phil Harper Motorsports, Richard "Doc" Wahl Heating & Air Conditioning, JEGS.com, Five Star Racecar Bodies, Hedman Husler Headers, Advanced Racing Suspension and M.P.H.
