15-Year-Old Corey Deuser Finishes A Career High Third At Anderson As Lucas Oil Raceway Looms
Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie Points Leader Goes Back to Site of First Career Start (Special from Deuser Motorsports)
July 25, 2013
Georgetown, Indiana (July 25, 2013) – Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year Points
Leader in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, 15-year-old
Corey Deuser has emerged as one of the top contenders in a talent laden freshman class
in 2013. After the rookie points battle has seen four different leaders in six events, Deuser
has come out as the top rookie after a career high third place finish in the Anderson 100
Presented by JEGS.com at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana on July 19th.

" We went into Friday with a strong feeling. We were top five car in the first practice with
some improvements. Like we always do, we stickered up for a mock run and then we
had the complete opposite of what we expected ending up p12 and I was scratching my
head where I could pick up." Explained the Georgetown, Indiana teenager. "I went into
qualifying knowing I had to get the job done. I had picked up tremendously from practice
to qualifying taking p4 and with a little luck on my side, the invert was a four and we
started on the pole." He smiled.

After leading the first nine laps before getting passed by New Track Record Holder,
Bubba Pollard, who was making a rare JEGS/CRA appearance, Deuser hung around the
top four throughout the event and was able to regain the final podium position in third and
stayed there the rest of the way to post his career high to date.

Now Deuser and his Deuser Motorsports Team will head to the site of his first career JEGS/CRA start one  year ago almost to the day; Lucas Oil Raceway on Friday, July 26th for the Night of the Stars 100 Presented by JEGS.com. "I'm looking forward to it. It's a big track with long sweeping corners and long straight-aways. It looks easy, but its real  complicated to pass." He ended.

Deuser leads the way in the tight race for the 2013 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in JEGS/CRA with fellow 15-year-old Jake Griffin as well as seven other freshman vying for the coveted crown. Deuser now has two top fives in 2013 with his career high third at Anderson, he also has two top 10s and is now fifth overall in the season long points standings, just eight points out of fourth.

For the rest of the 2013 racing season, Deuser's Red and Silver #14 Ford Fusion which is a Port City Racecars chassis will carry sponsorship support and stickers from Focus Eyewear as well as Deuser Electric, Arc Construction Management, Clayton Homes, Lucas Oil Products, RacerBoost.com, Big O Tires, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H.
