Middletown, Indiana (July 19, 2013) – The next two weeks will see some exciting times
at Scott Neal Racing. Heading into the Stoops Redbud 300 Weekend at Anderson
Speedway and the “Night of the Stars Twin 100’s” at Lucas Oil Raceway, Scott Neal and
his crew won’t be getting a lot of sleep. Over the next two weeks they will be preparing
multiple cars to compete in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/
CRA All-Star Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance, and the CRA/Top Speed Late
Model Sportsman.
Top on the Neal’s list will be JEGS Series Rookie of the Year contender Jake Griffin, as
he tackles Anderson Speedway for the first time this Friday. Griffin is the top rookie so far this season and currently sits 6th in series points.
Neal, who owns back to back CRA championships as crew chief and car owner, will have a second car in the JEGS series race Friday night at Anderson. Reigning Snowball Derby Champion and 2011 JEGS series champion Erik Jones will go behind the wheel of a Scott Neal race car for the first time. Neal and Jones will again pair up on Saturday, as Neal will serve as crew chief for the Erik Jones entry in the $10,000 to Win Stoops Redbud 300.
Besides these three entries for Redbud weekend, Neal will have also helped prepare a CRA Late Model Sportsman for Chris Hacker, and the Tim Neal Racing entry for Fred Hopkins. Their race, the biggest event of their season, is on Friday night as well.
The following weekend, Scott Neal Racing will be back in action again, this time at the “Night of the Stars Twin 100’s” at Lucas Oil Raceway on Friday, July 26. All eyes will be on the team as NASCAR and TV star Kenny Wallace will be behind the wheel of one of the Neal prepared teams. With support from Dan Griffin and JEGS, Neal will debut a new Hamke chassis for Wallace.
Once again, the main focus of the weekend for Neal will be Jake Griffin’s continued pursuit of JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Series and Rookie of the Year titles. The entire team is confident Griffin will be one of the first rookies to find victory lane this year.
Supporting all of the Scott Neal Racing and Griffin racing efforts are great partners like McGunegill Engines, Schoenfeld Headers, Ultra Cool Brake Fans, Motion Motors, PGG Enterprises, QS Components, Sun Drop, RC Cola, Green Smart Builders, Kelly’s Pub, and McPike’s Pawn Shop.
