15-Year-Old Corey Deuser Looking To Emerge As Top Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie Title Contender
Partnership Formed with Hunter Baize Racing for the rest of 2013 (Special from Deuser Motorsports)
June 6, 2013
Georgetown, Indiana (June 6, 2013) – In a stacked field of 2013 Howie Lettow Memorial
Rookie of the Year title contenders in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by
Chevrolet Performance, 15-year-old Corey Deuser knows that his experience racing in
three JEGS/CRA races in 2012 would pay big dividends in his bid for the freshman title
this season. He also knows that he has to get through a few events at tracks he's never
seen before first.

The latest facility that Deuser made his first appearance at was Columbus Motor
Speedway in Columbus, Ohio on May 25th. After qualifying eighth quick out of 30 teams
on the grounds and although he didn't finish the race, valuable experience was gained by
the Georgetown, Indiana teenager.

"For never being at Columbus I felt we had a strong run. The whole team and I adapted to
the track quickly." The Hoosier State driver stated. "We had a strong race run, but kept
getting trapped on the outside a few times and lost some spots. We got some of those
back when we got together with Brent (Downey). We learned a lot from the weekend
though and look to carry it to Dixie." He added.

The next race on the schedule is on Friday, June 7th at another track Deuser and crew have yet to race at; the 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked d-shaped paved oval of Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan. Deuser and crew will be coming armed with a new partnership in the form of fellow Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie title contender, 15-year-old Hunter Baize and the Hunter Baize Racing Team.

"I'm very excited that we have teamed up with Hunter Baize and HBR. I feel that we can each learn new things together." Deuser continued. "We have raced together in the past and he is a good racer and I think he will be a factor in every race and so will we."

As for racing at Dixie, Deuser is optimistic about his chances to gain some ground on current freshman points leader, Dominique Van Wieringen and the rest of the top heavy rookie class. "I've never seen Dixie. So I've been on YouTube and Google Earth to try to see how the track races." He added. "I know we can adapt quickly and be right there with the best. I like new tracks, it's always a challenge to learn new track so quickly and that helps me as a driver." Deuser ended.

The 2013 racing season began with the 47th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida where Deuser competed in the Pro Late Models division and in four starts, he recorded two top 10 finishes with a Florida Speedweeks high finish of a seventh on night IV on February 18th, his last night in Florida before heading back home for school.

Deuser began his racing career in 2009 driving Mini Cup cars and in his second year of racing (2010), won his first Feature at Sportsdrome Speedway in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In 2011, he started racing in the Baby Grand Series as well as returning to compete for a third year in the Mini Cup series. He made 13 starts in his Rookie season of racing Baby Grands and he earned one victory along the way. In Mini Cups that season, Deuser scored an impressive seven victories en route to the 2011 IKO Series Championship. Deuser also made his debut in the Pro National Series that same year.

In 2012, while racing the Baby Grand on a limited basis, he also began his career in a full bodied stock car with limited appearances at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri as well as three starts in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars  Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. He scored one Feature win as  a 14-year-old in four starts at Lebanon while in three starts in JEGS/CRA he scored a high finish of a 13th at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana.
