Jerrod Foley Fourth In JEGS/CRA Points Heading To Dixie Motor Speedway
Hopes Solid Finish At Columbus A Sign Of Things To Come (Special from J.L.J. Motorsports)
June 5, 2013
Williamsburg, Kentucky (June 5, 2013) – After battling back from the rear of the field due
to two separate incidents to post a sixth place finish in the CoughlinCars.com 100
Presented by JEGS.com at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio, Jerrod Foley
made all of that hard work pay off as he has climbed up to fourth place in the season long
points chase for the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance
championship.

"Columbus was one of our shortest races to travel to, we went there with hopes of doing
good, a top 10 finish, finishing the race with no damage to the car, and of course making
it a good points run. After all said and done we came out with everything we hoped for."
Remarked the Williamsburg, Kentucky driver. " We couldn't have been much happier with
the performance of the car especially with it being our back up car." He added.

After Qualifying 14th out of 30 cars on the grounds, the 21-year-old would not have to run
the dreaded Last Chance Race and would start the 100-lap main from the outside of the
seventh row. After being tagged in the back end of the car twice, sending him around both
times, Foley fought tooth and nail to get back up towards the front. "With around 20 laps
left in the race and starting in the back of the pack I knew we had some serious work to do, so we took off from the green passing many cars, along with dodging a few and was able to work our way up to sixth," He continued.

"If we had a few more laps I do believe we could have made it even further up for a top five or even a podium finish. All in all we were very happy with the performance of our backup car. A strong top 10, a clean car, and fourth place in the overall points standings." He added.

The next race on the 2013 JEGS/CRA Schedule is on Friday, June 7th at the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked paved oval of Dixie Motor Speedway, located north of Flint and south of Saginaw in Birch Run, Michigan for the running of the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. Last year at Dixie and in Foley's first ever appearance at the track, he came away with a solid fourth  place showing.

"We are very excited to head back up to Dixie. We had a very good car here last year and with some good momentum going to the track we plan for a repeat top five just like we ran last year or better." The Blue Grass State pilot offered. "We think we have a better car this year than last year and should be able to pick up our times just from having more experience at the track! He ended.
