Birch Run, Michigan (June 20, 2013) – The 2013 racing season for Dan Leeck and his
Dan Leeck Racing Team has been one of "coming out" of the shadows in the world of
short track racing. Long considered a top contender on the weekly level, that success
has not quite carried over to the traveling series ranks in recent years. That was, until the
current 2013 campaign.

The 22-year-old from Birch Run, Michigan had planned on taking things on a race by race
basis when the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance
points season started back on May 18th at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri.
After an impressive 23rd to sixth place run in the Show-Me State, the team ventured down
to Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio and the result was a ninth place
showing.

With two races in Michigan on the schedule after Columbus, the team made the decision
to enter both races beginning at his home track of Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run,
Michigan on June 7th where he came away with another ninth place run. Then the pivotal
race of the season so far for Leeck came the following weekend on June 14th at Berlin
Raceway in Marne, Michigan. It would be this event that would determine whether or not the Dan Leeck Racing Team would continue to follow the remainder of the JEGS/CRA schedule.

They got there answer at the end of the Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com as Leeck brought home another sixth place finish and  is now tied for the points lead in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour heading into the next race on the schedule; the Touchtone Energy 100 Presented by Focus Eyewear & JEGS.com on Saturday, June 22nd at the historic 0.555 mile high-banked paved oval of Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana.

"Going into Berlin I didn't really know what to think. The car had been great there last couple of races, but Berlin is its own deal, so for us to qualify good and come out of there sixth was just awesome." Leeck stated. "This year so far has been pretty good, we are getting the car better and better each race and myself as a driver, I'm starting to adapt to these different tracks and to be tied for the points lead is very cool but I want to win one of these things." He added.

As for Salem and the rest of the JEGS/CRA season, Leeck feels he has the right people in place for a solid run at the Tour Championship; "I've never been too, nor seen the place, but thankfully (Three-Time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion) Scott Hantz is now on board our race team as he has raced there and can really help with setup. I've really got to thank my guys they have been real busy; Uncle Tom, Jordan, Tom F., Danny Mac, Phillip, also my Mom and Dad and all of my great sponsors. We're going to make a run at this title and we've got everything and everyone in place." He ended.

For the rest of the 2013 racing season, Leeck's bright orange and yellow #12 will carry sponsorship stickers on the side of his Chevrolet Impala from Mr. Asphalt as well as Wellman Excavating, Diesel Truck Sales, Helm Electric, Racecar Engineering, FLF Racecars and M.P.H. Promotions.
