Berlin Raceway Up Next For Jimmy Novak After Strong Run At Home Track
Led First Career JEGS/CRA Laps at Dixie Motor Speedway (Special from Novak Motorsports)
June 13, 2013
Dryden, Michigan (June 13, 2013) – Leading 31 laps in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance is an accomplishment for any driver in the country.
When you're Jimmy Novak and it's on your home track of Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch
Run, Michigan, just leading isn't enough when you feel as though you were the fastest
car on the race track.

The Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com on June 6th was only an hour drive from home
and the site of both of his Weekly Late Model Feature Wins in 2010 and 2011. It was
during his amazing 2010 rookie season where he won one of his three Rookie of the Year
titles. The other two freshman honors that season came at Owosso Speedway in Ovid,
Michigan and Auto City Speedway in Clio, Michigan.

After Qualifying and Starting Fifth, Novak worked his way up to the lead on lap 39 and
tried to check out on the rest of the field. "I was really excited to back at our home track.
We were fast the whole time we were there and I knew we had a car that could win the
race." Stated the Dryden, Michigan driver.

"When I got the lead I figured I would open a gap when I needed too then have a little left to open a bigger gap towards the end. Unfortunately we had a brake issue which ended our night. It was very disappointing not getting our car in victory lane because it was a fast racecar but I believe we have a good chance at getting there this season." The 20-year-old ended.

There's little time to reflect for Novak and his Novak Motorsports Team as they'll make the trip across the Great Lakes State to the historic 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan on Friday, June 14th for the next JEGS/CRA race on the schedule; the Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com. In his lone appearance at Berlin, back in 2011 in a JEGS/CRA race , he finished 16th.
