Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com Next For Blue Grass State Traveler, Jerrod Foley
Seventh In JEGS/CRA Points Heading Back to Michigan (Special from J.L.J. Motorsports)
June 12, 2013
Williamsburg, Kentucky (June 12, 2013) – Jerrod Foley and the J.L.J. Motorsports Team
had high hopes entering the third race on the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars  Tour Presented
by Chevrolet Performance Schedule on June 7th at the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile
progressively banked paved oval of Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan for the
Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. In 2012 and in Foley's first ever appearance at the
track, he came away with a solid fourth  place showing.

This time around, Foley wasn't as fortunate as incidents in front of him, out of his control,
relegated him to an 18th place finish with a damaged race car. Furthermore, Foley fell
from fourth to seventh in points, but he knows there's still a long way to go in the 2013
campaign.

"After having a awesome run last year we went to Dixie with expectations of being even
better this time around, we pulled off the trailer in practice just two tenths off our
qualifying times as last year except on old tires." The Williamsburg, Kentucky driver stated. "Later in practice we noticed the transmission was making a noise that was not to our liking and upon further inspection concluded it was a rear seal for our transmission. So that ended our practice day a little short." He added.

After fixing the rear seal, Foley qualified right in the middle of the 28-car field in 14th and would start the 100-lap main from the outside of the seventh row. "As soon as the race started we were saving tires and trying to keep out of trouble hoping for a good points run. However cars started spinning directly in front of us and we were pushed into several cars causing severe body damage to the front of the car and busting the radiator." He explained.

Fortunately for the team, Crew Chief and Father, Jim Foley brought a spare Radiator to the makeshift pit road located within the adjoining 1/3 mile oval inside the main 4/10s mile. "We got it replaced and was able to get it in going just 24 laps down under green. At that point we was just running laps hoping to pick up a couple spots here and there for points purposes." The 21-year-old continued.

"The crew did an awesome job getting the car put back together and back out on the track, dad hit the set up on the nail and mom was on her toes spotting, the team effort we continue having week after week is only getting stronger, we are running the never give up strategy and pushing for everything we have. Couldn't be more proud of my team."

The next race on the JEGS/CRA schedule is set for Friday, June 14th as the Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com will be conducted at the tricky 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan.
"This track in particular isn't one we have been real excited about going to after qualifying a brutal second to last in our last race there and was just unable to get a grip on the track." The Blue Grass State driver explained. "We are going back this time with a better set up, and a little more experience of the track, so we hope to drastically improve the car. All we can do is Roll With It, and never give up. We hope to pick up some spots in the points standings and make a awesome weekend out of this one coming up." He ended.
