Minnesota Native has enjoyed success in the Show-Me State in the past (Special from Trent Snyder Racing)
May 16, 2013
Glen Ellyn, Illinois (May 16, 2013) – Trent Snyder is widely considered one of the more accomplished Late Model competitors in the Midwestern United States. Having proved that with a Championship in the old Varney Late Model Northern Series in 2007 and two victories in two starts in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance both at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana.

Now the driver, who now calls Glen Ellyn, Illinois home will be in search of another big win, this time at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri on Saturday, May 18th in the running of the Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 Presented by JEGS.com. With Snyder's planned limited schedule, the $8,000 payday to the winner of what is now the 2013 season opener for JEGS/CRA could go a long way towards the rest of the season.

"I'm just super excited to get this season underway. We found a couple things over the winter that were the cause of some issues in the past." Explained Snyder. "I feel like the car should be the best it's been the last few seasons, which gives me a ton of confidence going into this season." He added.

The 29-year-old driver, originally from Deerwood, Minnesota has visited victory lane in the state of Missouri twice before as he swept both events in the now defunct Varney Late Model Northern Series during the 2007 season at the now closed wicked fast 1/2 mile high-banked paved oval of I-70 Speedway, located east of Kansas City in Odessa, Missouri. Those two wins helped him along the way to the Northern Series Championship. One of those wins was in the tracks' prestigious World Cup.

"Also for this race I have acquired the help of long time friend and crew chief Steve Strasburg from RaceCarHelp.com, which gives me some added confidence going into the biggest JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race in series history." He continued.

Snyder has made the most of his limited appearances in JEGS/CRA competition with his two wins in only nine starts between 2011-2012. He also has recorded five top five finishes and six top 10 showings in those nine appearances and is near the top of most statistical categories in JEGS/CRA history despite only making select appearances since the series inception in 2011.

For the Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 Presented by JEGS.com, Snyder's familiar #88 will be sporting an all new blue paint scheme with sponsorship decals on the side of his Chevrolet Impala from Medwest Health Systems as well as OvernightWraps.com, Arthrex Incorporated, JEGS.com, RaceCarHelp.com, Phil Harper Motorsports, Five Star Racecar Bodies, Hedman Husler Hedders, Advanced Racing Suspension and M.P.H.
