May 16, 2013
Birch Run, Michigan (May 16, 2013) – If there ever was a race where it can be considered a make or break kind of race for a team, the Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 Presented by JEGS.com is that race for Birch Run, Michigan driver, Dan Leeck. Lebanon I-44 Speedway, located southwest of St. Louis in Lebanon, Missouri will host the 2013 season opener for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and Leeck and his team will be making the 11+ hour trip down to the Show-Me State.

"This is the biggest Late Model event that I have ever raced in and a good showing here will determine our schedule." The 23-year-old stated. "I can't thank everyone enough who help make this trip even possible. My family, my sponsors, everyone. This is bigger for us than going down to Speedweeks. We need a good finish in the race. Afterwards, we'll figure out the rest of the season. Do we follow the rest of the JEGS/CRA Tour or stay home and race locally again?" He added.

Leeck made three appearances in the 47th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing in February at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and also has made one start at Owosso Speedway in Ovid, Michigan in the tracks 2013 season opener where he finished second in the Feature run down.

The 2012 racing season saw Leeck make several appearances in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance where he finished 15th in the final points standings with three top 10 finishes including a season high of sixth at his home track of Dixie Motor Speedway. Also, and despite missing several events, he scored a third place showing at Auto City in the tracks weekly Super Stocks division, which mirrors the rules of JEGS/CRA.

He finished second in the points in 2008 concentrating primarily on Dixie while collecting a single feature win. The 2009 season saw Leeck and crew venture out further from home as he toured on a part-time basis with the old Super Pro Late Model Series while also making his debut with the now defunct Northern Late Model Series.

During the 2010 racing season, Leeck made three appearances with the old Varney Late Models Northern Series and picked up an impressive podium finish of a third driving for T.D. He also raced with T.D. Racing at Owosso as well as LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin. Leeck also competed for the 2011 Track Championship at Owosso and scored one feature win en route to a seventh place showing in the final Pro Late Models points standings.
