Gentile to Start the season at Springport
Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com kicks off 2013 for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance
April 24, 2013
Joliet, IL (April 24, 2013) – A new year brings a new car for Goodwin Motorsports. After a crash ended his 2012 campaign early, Dave and his crew spent the off season preparing, and now they're hoping to start the ...new year off with a win at the JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour Series Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, MI on April 28.

“Unfortunately, our 2012 season ended abruptly at the Bettenhausen. The field checked up on the backstretch, I got turned from behind and slid through the infield. I ended up hitting the concrete barrier and did substantial damage to our vehicle. Luckily I wasn’t hurt, but I couldn’t say the same thing about our car.”

Gentile continued, “We have great sponsors who really stepped up this year. They’ve been able to financially back us in the purchase of a new Hamke Chassis. I definitely couldn’t have done it without the help of my crew working long hours during the off season.”

Gentile's last JEGS/CRA race was at Owosso Speedway in the Big O Classic. Dave had to pull his car out of impound after qualifying, which required him to start in the back. He worked his way through the field, piloting his machine to a top three finish and grabbing the Hard Charger Award.

Gentile would like to thank his car owners, Brandon & LeeAnn Goodwin for their support, and all his crew members for their hard work.

Gentile would also like to thank the continued support of his sponsors: WMC Inc., Midwest Industrial Supply, Hedman Hedders, Swift Springs, Adler Roofing, Integrity Restoration, The Flooring Guys, Sign-a-Rama of Joliet, Airgas, Oval Engineering, Lincoln Electric, Five Star Bodies, and Appleton Rack & Pinion.
