Lanesville, IN (March 21, 2013) – The Deuser Motorsports racing team of southern Indiana is deep into preparation for a full campaign in the 2013 racing season, according to crew chief Jim Robinson of Pekin, Indiana.

“The engines are at McGunegill Engine Performance in Muncie, Indiana being refreshed,” Robinson explained. The team has engines being prepared for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, as well as for a number of appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series.

Carburetors have been shipped to Willy’s Carburetor and Dyno Shop in Mt. Carmel, Illinois., Robinson noted. “He’s been very helpful to us,” the crew chief said.

Also, the driveshaft and clutch are at Quarter Master Industries in Lake Zurich, Illinois., one of the sport’s premier facilities for driveline components.

Robinson said the team plans a track test late in March for their cars, but declined to name the track which will be used. The driver, 15-year-old Corey Deuser of Georgetown, Indiana, is also getting himself ready for the team’s first full year in late model competition. “Corey’s on a full fitness regime right now,” Robinson said.

The team’s first outing with the new late model was in the World Series of Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida in mid-February. Deuser’s best finish was seventh in their last night of racing at New Smyrna.

The first points race in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance is set for Sunday, April 28th at Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Michigan.

The primary sponsor on the Deuser Motorspors’ No. 14 Ford is Focus Eyeware, with associate sponsorship from Tom Sondergeld Plumbing, Clayton Homes, Big O Tires, McGunegill Engine Performance, Raceboost.com, ARC Construction Management, and Deuser Electric.
