Early Accident Ends 16-Year-Old Corey Deuser's Chance At Snowflake 100 Victory
2013 Season Ends; Focus Shifts to 2014 Campaign
December 16, 2013
Georgetown, Indiana (December 16, 2013) – The 2013 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of
the Year in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, recently
turned 16-year-old Corey Deuser was hoping to end the 2013 racing season on a high note
during the most prestigious Pro Late Models event in the country during the 46th annual
Snowball Derby Week on December 4-8th at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida;
the Snowflake 100.

In the 2012 version of the Snowflake, Deuser qualified an impressive 13th out of 45 teams
on the grounds and the 14-year-old, at the time, stayed out of trouble and logged laps en
route to posting a 21st place effort. In 2013 after qualifying 14th quick out of 53 teams on
the property, things were looking up. However, the chance to log laps was thwarted due to
an accident just five laps into the race that knocked the Georgetown, Indiana driver out of
the event.

"I had a very fun experience being back down in Pensacola we had a good car to work
with from when we came down for the test. We worked on a good race setup for the most
part on Thursday. We did do a sticker run on Friday but unfortunately I got held up
unexpectedly and spun it out, but didn't hit nothing came in and put older tires on and went and finished off practice." Deuser said as he reflected on the days leading up to race day.

"So we came into the Saturday practice looking to shake that off and ran decently on older tires and came in and mocked up and felt good and knew that I would have to find a little more to get into the show." The Hoosier State teenager continued. "I drew out of the Jack Links Beef Jerky bag on Wednesday night and pulled a #65 and was excited for sure. I was able to see what the times would need to be to make the field and realized that it was faster than I had thought and got a little more nervous. I was able to qualify solidly in the field and was the last of the 14 drivers to break the old the previous track record, so we were real excited heading into the race."

"I wasn't real thrilled about starting on the outside in the race because I hadn't seen it work all day long and that trend continued as I couldn't get the outside to work and fell back." He continued. "I knew I had a good car and was ready to start picking them off, but coming off turn four Ryan Luza was in the wall and the car in front of me moved out too late for me to react and ending our day by busting the radiator on impact." He ended.

With the 2013 racing season now complete, Deuser and his Deuser Motorsports Team are already in preparation mode for the 2014 campaign which will tentatively start with SpeedFest 2014 down at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia on Saturday-Sunday, January 25-26th as Deuser is looking to participate in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour non-points 125-lap main on that Sunday afternoon and Deuser is also guaranteed a starting spot in the race as the top two from the final 2013 JEGS/CRA owners points are automatically locked into the show.

In 2013, Deuser was the top freshman in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the premier template bodied / crate motor series in the country. He also finished second in the final JEGS/CRA points standings while garnering his first career Win on the Tour in Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com at the legendary 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway (IN) on October 11th during the Winchester 400 Weekend. He also collected five top five finishes and eight top 10 showings in 13 overall JEGS/CRA events.

During the 2013 racing season, Deuser's Red and Silver #14 Ford Fusion, a Port City Racecars chassis with a McGunegill  Engine Performance crate motor under the hood, carried sponsorship support and decals from Focus Eyewear as well as Deuser Electric, Arc Construction Management, Clayton Homes, Lucas Oil Products, RacerBoost.com, Big O Tires, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H.
