JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Points Season Ends Friday at Winchester
Cody Coughlin Only Needs to Start Friday’s Race to Claim 2013 Championship

Salem, Indiana (October 8, 2013) – The 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by
Chevrolet Performance 2013 points season will come to a close with the Winchester 100
Presented by JEGS.com this Friday on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway,
part of the huge 42nd  Annual Winchester 400 Weekend. This is the third season for the
crate motor touring series sanction by Champion Racing Association with the support of
Title Sponsor JEGS and Presenting Sponsor Chevrolet Performance.

17 year Cody Coughlin only needs to start Friday night’s race to secure the JEGS/CRA
All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance 2013 Championship. Coughlin has
had a breakout season in 2013 getting his first two series wins, the first win came at
Dixie Motor Speedway on June 7th, the second on June 22nd on the famous High Banks
of Salem Speedway. The Delaware, Ohio native then put together a great season ending
run of three seconds and one third over the last four series events to build his lead to be
able to be in a great position to clinch his first ever Championship. Coughlin is currently
tied with Trent Snyder for most series wins for the season, getting a winner’s trophy
Friday night would put the final feather in his cap on a great 2013 season for Coughlin.

15 year old Corey Deuser only needs to start Friday night’s race to claim the 2013 Howie
Lettow Rookie of the Year Award Presented by Howe Racing. Deuser has used steady
top 10 finishes throughout the season to be in a great position to win the rookie award and to be in second place in Season Championship points behind Coughlin heading into Friday night. Deuser is 28 points ahead of third place Dan Leeck. Leeck is currently 15 points ahead of fourth place Tom Woodin. The #77 of car owner Scott Neal is in fifth place in Owner Points, only five points behind Woodin, Neal will be behind the wheel of his car for Friday night’s race. There is plenty to gain or lose for the teams battling for second through fifth in points Friday night.

There are also several battles left to settle in sixth through tenth in final points. Jerrod Foley and Jake Griffin go into Friday night tied for sixth in points. Lucas Oil Raceway winner Dominique Van Wieringen is in eighth place, 16 points behind Foley and Griffin. Kody Evans is currently in ninth place, but only by two points over 10th place Hunter Baize and 11th place Kyle Crump is only four points behind Evans.

The entry list for Friday’s race is full of all the top JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour competitors, but there will be some tough outside competition led by 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden, winner of the Friday night JEGS Tour event in 2011and winner of the series event at Berlin Raceway in June. Also ARCA/CRA Super Series competitors Austin Theriault driving for Brad Kesolowski Racing, Rookie of the Year competitor Brandon Oakley and Jason Dietsch. All three are doing double duty this weekend along with Ohio veteran racer Mike Stacy as is Coughlin and Neal. Outlaw Late Model stand out Phil Bozell will make his Winchester Series debut Friday night.

Things begin for the Winchester 400 Weekend with an optional load in, hauler parking and pit pass purchases on Thursday, October 10th from 3 to 8pm. Pits open on Friday, October 12th at 10am with rotating practice for all divisions beginning at 1pm. Qualifying for the Vores Touring Compacts, the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks New Star events and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100 lap event will start at 5:40pm. Racing action will begin at 7pm with 8 lap heat races for the Vores Touring Compacts. The Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks 25 lap New Star features will follow. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Championship Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com will be up next. The Vores Touring Compacts 20 lap feature will cap off the nights racing action.

Pits open on Saturday, October 12th at 8am, rotating practice for all divisions will begin at 11am. Qualifying for the Top Speed Modifieds, Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks will begin at 3:30pm.  EDCO Welding Pole Qualifying for the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will begin at 5pm. The race program will begin at 6pm with Top Speed Modifieds Last Chance races. The 50 lap Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Season Championship event will be up next, followed by the 25 lap Winchester 400 Last Chance race if needed. The Top Speed Modifieds 50 lap Run for the Gun will follow. The 50 lap Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Season Championship event will cap off this huge night of racing. The Annual Winchester 400 Party in the Pavilion will start in immediately following the races.

On Sunday, October 13th the pits will open at 9am, there will be a short warm-up session for the ARCA/CRA Super Series cars at 11am. There will be an on track autograph session with all the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 drivers starting at 12:30. Opening ceremonies will begin at 1:30 pm with the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 taking the green flag at 2pm.
