Biggest Track in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour History is Next

Salem, Indiana (October 17, 2013) – Champion Racing Association (CRA) Powered by JEGS Officials have announced that after working with engine re-builders and manufacturers that the maximum RPM allowed will be dropped 200 rpms for the upcoming Memphis event for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet  Performance.

After lengthy discussion, all parties felt it was in the best interest of the teams to make the adjustment which will help insure engine reliability at the year's biggest track. Most felt like their shouldn't be any major issue at the current RPM levels, but with the sustained RPM for the crate engines, it is believed to provide an extra level of security.

With this year's requirement to use the Crane ignition box with adjustable RPM limiter, it made the decision easy to make the change to benefit all teams. With the 200 rpm adjustment across the board, Ford engines will now have a 6100 maximum RPM limit and the Chevrolets a 6200 maximum RPM limit.
