Entry List Grows to 38 for the 42nd Annual Winchester 400

Salem, Indiana (September 26, 2013) – The entry list has now grown to 38 cars for the
upcoming 42nd Annual Winchester 400, which will be contested on the famous High
Banks of Winchester Speedway on Sunday, October 13th. With the race still a little over
two weeks away, it looks to be one of the most talented field of cars from top to bottom to
ever take the green flag for one of the most prestigious late model events in the country.

Three of the top Super Late Model drivers in the country added their names to the
Winchester 400 entry list this week. 2012 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion and series
all-time winner Daniel Hemric has entered in the Jake Carswell owned #98. The
Mooresville, North Carolina native just won the Blizzard Series title this past weekend at
Five Flags Speedway and is currently second in points in the Southern Super Series and
has two Southern Super Series wins so far this season.

The famed #112 of Alabama’s Augie Grill is entered. Grill has been one of the country’s
top late model drivers for several years with wins all over the country including two
Snowball Derby wins and three Southern Super Series wins so far this season. Grill last
competed in the Winchester 400 in 2007. North Carolina racer Preston Peltier has entered
to compete in his first ever Winchester 400. Peltier has competed mainly with the PASS
South Series where he is a former Champion and the series all time wins leader.

17 year old Cody Coughlin has now entered to compete in his first ever Winchester 400. The Delaware, Ohio native has only to show up on the property at Winchester on October 11th to claim the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Championship. Coughlin has two wins this season with the JEGS Tour, one at Dixie Motor Speedway and one on the High Banks of Salem Speedway.

2012 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship winning Car Owner and Crew Chief Scott Neal has filed an entry to compete in the Winchester 400. Neal, a fierce late model competitor for years throughout Central Indiana, will put down the wrenches to slide back behind the seat to compete at Winchester, a track be loves, in a race he has dreamed of winning. 

Former series regular Terry Fisher Jr. has filed an entry for the Winchester 400, a track he is always very competitive at. Another Central Indiana late model veteran Joe Beaver has entered, he will jump back behind the wheel of Tim Bennett’s #21 car. Several other CRA competitors filed entries this week including former series Rookie of the Year Tyler Roahrig, and fellow part time series competitors Brandon Hermiller, Brett Robinson, Nick Gullatta, Colin Nickolai and Justin Alsip. Georgia teenager Spencer Davis has entered the Winchester 400 along with Canadian racer Martin Latulippe, both those drivers are looking to start their first ever Winchester 400.
