19-Year-Old Rookie, Brandon Oakley Looks To Maintain Top Five Overall in ARCA/CRA Super Series Points
Two Points Races Remaining starting at Lucas Oil Raceway (Special from Brandon Oakley Racing)
September 20, 2013
Beavercreek, Ohio (September 20, 2013) – A top five finish in the points in the ARCA/CRA
Super Series Powered by JEGS is something very few drivers in the country have
accomplished. A sign of a good season, even with a few obstacles in the way over the
course of a year, is that a driver is guaranteed at least a fifth place finish in a major short
track racing touring series. That's exactly the case for 19-year-old Brandon Oakley.

Oakley can't finish worse than fifth in the final ARCA/CRA Super Series points no matter
what happens in the final two points races for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. In addition,
he can't finish no worse than second in the chase for the 2013 Rookie of the Year title.
Although still mathematically alive in the chase for the freshman crown, it would take a
near total collapse by current freshman points chart topper, Ali Kern in order for Oakley to
overtake here in the last two points races as Kern has an 80 point advantage over Oakley.

So the Beavercreek, Ohio driver can take solace in the fact that he's guaranteed a top five
overall in the final ARCA/CRA points which takes the sting out of a not so good finish at
his home track, the tricky 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked uniquely shaped paved oval of Kil-
Kare Raceway, located southeast of Dayton in Xenia, Ohio on September 15th for the
Buckminn's D&D Harley-Davidson / Oakley Blacktop 125.

After working his way into second place just 22 laps into the race, Oakley made contact with the turn three wall relegating him to an 18th place finish. "We had a really fast car last week. it was unfortunate we had a caliper lock up while running behind the leader." The Buckeye State freshman explained. "A big thanks to Jeff Fultz and Bobby Wells for making last week possible."

Next up on the schedule is this Saturday-Sunday, September 21-22nd at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana for the T.J. Racing Lubricants 100 Presented by Quarter Master for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. The headlining event of the McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2013 Presented by P.A.D.D. (People Against Distracted Driving).

"I'm excited to have Jeff (Fultz) calling the shots this weekend at LOR." Oakley continued as he and his Brandon Oakley Racing Team prepare for the return trip to the Circle City. "I've been wanting to work with him for years, and the timing finally worked out. hopefully I can catch some luck here and get Jeff and I a solid finish and finish out this season on a high note." He ended.

Oakley will finish in second place in the Rookie of the Year title chase and is currently 80 markers behind Freshman points leader, Ali Kern. Overall in the ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2013, Oakley is an impressive fifth in the season long points chase, 53 points out of fourth spot. His season high finish is his third place showing at Auto City Speedway, which also accounts for his lone top 10 showing. He does have six top 15 finishes during the season as well.
