September 18, 2013
Wheeling, West Virginia (September 18, 2013) – A chance to compete close to home at
his home track in ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS competition is something
Current Points Leader, Travis Braden has been relishing since it was announced that the
series would be heading to the tricky 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Kil-Kare
Speedway, located southeast of Dayton in Xenia, Ohio on September 15th for the
Buckminn's D&D Harley-Davidson / Oakley Blacktop 125.

Kil-Kare is Braden's home track and the 19-year-old, a 2011 Track Champion at the
Buckeye State oval  made sure his fellow competitors knew he was there as the
Wheeling, West Virginia driver would score his third ARCA/CRA Super Series victory of
the 2013 racing season despite a spin on lap 22 and having to charge back through the
field from the back of the pack. He would take the lead from David Carter on lap 88 and
go on to score the win and all but sew up the 2013 Series Championship.

"I was hoping to get at least one win and maybe more in the last three races of the
season and we did just that at Kil-Kare.  It wasn't going to be easy and I knew that, no
matter how fast our car was." The soon to be crowned 2013 ARCA/CRA Champion
remarked in victory lane. " The race began in somewhat calm fashion but quickly started
to get a little wild. The spin while trying to take the lead on the outside was quite a ride,
and we were lucky to get away with no damage, many guys got really torn up." He added.

After restarting at the rear of the field, he began passing other drivers at a rapid rate and by lap 61 was back in second spot and began chasing down Carter. "I knew I just had to stay calm and pick cars off as without going too crazy, my guys had a fast car under me and it was my job to get the job finished, but that takes patience and courtesy, mixed with a little bit of aggressiveness.  Even when we had a big lead back near the end I felt it still wasn't going to be easy and that was an understatement." He continued.

On both restarts Carter stood his ground and made Braden's job of keeping the lead not easy in the least. "I was ecstatic to get the win at my home ARCA/CRA track, so many of my close family and friends were finally able to come to a race and it was special to have them all in victory lane together. You don't get many of those days. " He stated.

With the win, Braden has all but locked up the 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Championship as the Mountaineer State driver has a commanding 182-point lead over second place. By merely starting the next event, the T.J. Racing Lubricants 100 Presented by Quarter Master at the 0.686 mile progressively banked paved oval of Lucas Oil Raceway, located west of Indianapolis in Clermont, Indiana on Saturday-Sunday, September 21-22nd.

"Now we go into the last two races, very big races.  I know we are in a great position in the championship, but I still want to go for wins," He continued. "I want to prove my team is a true championship team in any field of competition at any track.  Thus far this season we have done that and now we look to finish it off with a bang.  LOR and Winchester are my two favorite tracks and we've had success there, it will be a fun weekend.  We'll see what we can do." Braden ended.

The eventual 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Champion now has three victories to go with seven top fives and nine  top 10 finishes. He now has 293 laps led in ARCA/CRA competition, second only behind Three-Time & Reigning (at least for a few more days) ARCA/CRA Champion, Johnny VanDoorn who has 446. Braden also has a win in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour back on June 14th at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan during the Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com.
