19-year-old Travis Braden, the current ARCA/CRA Super Series Points
Leader, scored his third victory of the 2013 racing season at his home track
of Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, Ohio last Sunday, September 15th. With the
win, Braden has all but locked up the 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series
Championship as the Mountaineer State driver has a commanding 182-point
lead over second place.
By merely starting the event at LOR, Braden, the series 2012 Rookie of the
Year, will clinch the title. Current Boyne Machine Company Rookie of the
Year points leader, Ali Kern and veteran, Rick Turner are tied for second in
points while Inaugural Series Champion from the 1997 season, veteran,
Kenny Tweedy is right there as well in the battle for second through fourth in
the title chase.
Another young up and coming star, 17-year-old Cody Coughlin leads the
way for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour as the Delaware, Ohio teenager extended his points lead in the premier Crate Motor Touring Series in the country after a third place showing in the last event on September 14th at Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Michigan. The 20-year-old Lambert has one victory this season at the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway back on August 18th and the driver from near-by Noblesville, Indiana will be looking to extend that points lead this weekend.
