Race In The Home State Of Ohio Up Next For Rookie Points Leader, Ali Kern As Kil-Kare Speedway Awaits
Third Place Overall in ARCA/CRA Super Series Points with Three Points Races Remaining (Special from Lorz Motorsports)
September 13, 2013
Midlothian, Illinois (September 13, 2013) – Just like the ARCA/CRA Super Series
Powered by JEGS, Ali Kern and her Lorz Motorsports Team will make their first ever
appearance at the uniquely shaped 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Kil-Kare
Speedway, located southeast of Dayton in Xenia, Ohio on Sunday, September 15th for
the Buckminn's D&D Harley-Davidson / Oakley Blacktop 125. Only the second race of
2013 in Kern's home state of Ohio and it's on a track she's never seen before.

"Kil-Kare will definitely be a challenge as I've never run the track before. I really like racing
on short tracks so hopefully we'll have a good run with our Crown Battery sponsored Port
City racecar." The Fremont, Ohio driver stated. "Hopefully  Kil-Kare will end up being one
of my favorite tracks. We're a big picture kind of team with a lot confidence in what we're
doing.  This is a real tough series to be a rookie in.  On the other hand, when I continue
to run with the best late model drivers around I continue to learn and improve." She added.

In her last race, the Winchester 100 back on September 2nd at the famed 1/2 (0.500)
mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. The 100-
lap main served as the headlining event of the tracks prestigious World Stock Car
Festival and Kern finished a disappointing 16th in the run down, but a position ahead of
fellow rookie, Brandon Oakley to add to her freshman points lead with just three points
races remaining on the 2013 schedule.

"We made a last minute call at Winchester and it just didn't work out, but not for a lack of trying.  We all work hard week after week to be successful in this series.  So, to still be leading in the ROTY contest and to be sitting third overall in points is pretty amazing." She continued. "The dedication both Ali Kern Motorsports and Lorz Motorsports have to making this season a huge success is unwavering." The 20-year-old ended.

Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz added; "Ali has done an excellent job this year. the last two short track races were awesome and we need to do the same at Kil-Kare." He stated. "Then we turn around and get ready for Lucas Oil Raceway (September 21-22nd) the following week. The team just keeps working hard all week and on race weekends they're true racers. As for the last race at Winchester, we just need to keep looking forward and stay focused and keep finishing races that’s the plan to the end of the season."He ended.

Kern remains third in the season long points chase, 24 points behind second place Rick Turner. with two top five finishes, which were both of her runner-up showings from the Michigan Doubleheader Weekend on August 16-17th. She also has accumulated four top 10 finishes and she still leads the Rookie of the Year standings by a comfortable 46 markers over fellow freshman, Brandon Oakley.
