2010 Winner Chase Elliott in Latest Group of Entries for 42nd Annual Winchester 400
Pollard, Benjamin, Finley, Jack, Niewiek, Griffin and Turner also Entered

Salem, Indiana (September 13, 2013) – 2010 Winchester 400 winner Chase Elliott tops the list of additional entries that arrived this week for the upcoming 42nd Annual Winchester 400, that will be contested on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway on Sunday, October 13th. Elliott, the son of NASCAR Legend Bill Elliott, is currently racing in selected NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events as a development driver for Hendrick Motorsports were he became the youngest winner in in that series history on September 1st getting the win on the road course at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Elliott remains the youngest driver to win the Winchester 400, he was only 14 win he got the win in 2010. Elliott still competes in selected Late Model events when he has an opportunity. Elliott has two JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour wins this season, the first was at SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital Speedway in January, the second was the Mercy’s Master of the Pro’s 144 at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in May. Elliott also won the Alabama 200 Southern Super Series race on August 27th at Montgomery Speedway.
The list of talented drivers to battle for the famed Winchester Rifle Trophy continues to grow with each entry that arrives for this prestigious event. Other entries received this week include Georgia Late Model ace Bubba Pollard, the current point’s leader for the Southern Super Series and has multiple big late model wins over the past three seasons. Also South Carolina teenager Kyle Benjamin has entered, Benjamin became the youngest winner in CRA history last season at Lucas Oil Raceway and scored a win in last season’s finale at Watermelon Capital Speedway. Benjamin also got his first ARCA Racing Series win on August 25th at Madison International Speedway.
Part-time CRA competitors Chad Finley, Brent Jack and Jay Niewiek have also entered. Finley is a two time winner with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, both wins came at Columbus Motor Speedway. Jack competes mostly in an Outlaw Late Model, where he picked up a win at Toledo Speedway on August 16th. 2011 ARCA/CRA Super Series Championship winning driver Derrick Griffin is entered in the Downey Racing #25 machine. Rick Turner, currently second in series Championship points is also entered. Turner is a three time series winner with one of those victories coming at Winchester Speedway.
This talented group joins the talented list of drivers already entered that includes Ross Kenseth, Mason Mingus, Kenzie Ruston, Travis Braden, Donnie Wilson, Anderson Bowen and Jason Dietsch. The entry list for the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 is expected to continue to grow in numbers and in talent in the next four weeks leading up to the event.
