Greenfield, Indiana (August 30, 2013) – A familiar name in the world of Champion Racing
Association (CRA) Powered by JEGS since the days when his father, David Ecoff raced
in what was the Kendall Indiana Super Late Model Series (Now ARCA/CRA Super Series)
from 1998-2001, the Ecoff name and CRA go hand in hand led now by Damon Ecoff.
However, during the 2013 racing season, the 20-year-old hasn't raced much, but when he
does enter an event, he's certainly looking to make the most of his limited appearances.
One of those appearances is set for this Sunday-Monday, September 1-2nd at the famed
1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana
as Ecoff and the crew will race in the headlining Winchester 100 for the ARCA/CRA
Super Series Powered by JEGS during the tracks prestigious World Stock Car Festival
traditionally held during the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.
"Due to some other commitments, we just haven't been able to race as much this year
as we would've liked to. We are in the process of putting a couple of cars together so
hopefully we will be able to run more end of the year races around here and maybe even
down south." The Hoosier State driver stated.
The Greenfield, Indiana driver has made only five total starts all year long with the first
coming back on April 6th in the Southern Super Series' inaugural race at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. He then raced in the first two events within the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana on April 14th and Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana on May 11th.
He then made his 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series debut at Winchester on June 29th and came away with an 11th place finish in the Winchester 100 during the ARCA Tripleheader Weekend before a return trip to Anderson Speedway during the Redbud 300 Weekend back in his CRA Late Model Sportsman car on July 19th, which was his last action on any race track.
"I was happy when I found out we were going to run Winchester being as its one of my favorite tracks." Ecoff continued as he and his Ecoff Motorsports Team make final preparations before the trip to Winchester. "That place never gets old, it's addictive. Hopefully we can get a win under our belt on Monday afternoon." He ended.
As for the rest of the season, the tentative 2013 plans include select races in the ARCA/CRA Super Series as well as the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and possibly the two non-points end of the season special events for CRA at Memphis International Raceway in Memphis, Tennessee on October 25-26th and then the following weekend, also in the Volunteer State, at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee for the All-American 400 Weekend on November 1-2nd.
For the remainder of the 2013 racing season, both of Ecoff’s #15 Ecoff Motorsports / Ford Fusions will have sponsorship decals on the side of both his ARCA/CRA Super Series ride as well as his CRA Late Model Sportsman entry from Lucas Oil Products as well as PGG Enterprises and M.P.H. Promotions.
