Two Runner-Up Showings Have Rookie Points Leader, Ali Kern Brimming With Confidence Heading To Winchester 
Just Six Points out of Second Place Overall in ARCA/CRA Super Series Points (Special from Lorz Motorsports)

Midlothian, Illinois (August 28, 2013) – After a career weekend in the ARCA/CRA Super
Series Powered by JEGS in the Michigan Doubleheader Weekend where she finished
second in both the Mid-Michigan Toyota Dealers / Draper 125 At Auto City Speedway in
Clio, Michigan on August 16th and again in the 7-Up 125 at Flat Rock Speedway in Flat
Rock, Michigan on August 17th, Ali Kern is riding a wave of confidence heading into the
Labor Day Holiday Weekend.

"Wow, what a great weekend at Auto City & Flat Rock for Ali Kern Motorsports and Lorz
Motorsports.  We were truly blessed.  I guess it needs to be my Mom's Birthday
weekend every race weekend." Laughed the Fremont, Ohio driver. "I was so impressed
with the Lorz group and the two race ready cars they gave me to run.  It seems like we
finally had an opportunity to show what we're capable of accomplishing on the track."
She added.

"To have two back to back P2 finishes was certainly the highlight of our season so far."
The 20-year-old continued. "I was honored to be nominated for the Speed51.com
FLUIDYNE Cool Under Pressure Award also.  Congratulations to Preston Peltier." She
added.

The next ARCA/CRA Super Series race on the schedule is the Winchester 100 on Sunday-Monday, September 1-2nd at the legendary 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. The 100-lap main will serve as the headlining event of the tracks prestigious World Stock Car Festival. In her only other appearance at Winchester, she came away with a seventh place showing back on June 29th.

"With four points races left we're just looking at the big picture.  I need to stay focused and continue to be competitive.  It's really amazing to still be leading in the ROTY points but I don't want to over analyze that situation because I just want to get up on the wheel and race with some of the best late model drivers in the country." The Buckeye State freshman offered. "We're looking forward to going back to Winchester though. We had a good run the last time we ran there and we have a tough schedule left, but we just have to be prepared and keep the faith." She ended.

"We look forward to going back to Winchester this weekend and start getting ready for the 400. Good time to get some seat time so when we come back that weekend she should have plenty of laps around Winchester." Added Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz. "Everyone is pumped after last weekend at Auto City and Flat Rock with two runner up finishes. Ali did an awesome job and so did crew chief Dan Lorz and Crew. So very proud of everyone associated with Lorz Motorsports. We need to just  keep working hard and good things will happen." He ended.

In her maiden ARCA/CRA Super Series season, she is now third in the season long points chase, just six markers back of second place Rick Turner. with two top five finishes, which were both of her runner-up showings from the Michigan Doubleheader Weekend. She also has accumulated four top 10 finishes including and she still leads the Rookie of the Year standings by a somewhat comfortable 44 points over fellow freshman, Brandon Oakley.
