ARCA/CRA Super Series Now at Kil-Kare Speedway on Sunday, September 15th
Rescheduled event from Baer Field will Mark the First Ever Visit by a CRA Series
August 26, 2013
Salem, Indiana (August 26, 2013) – Officials from Champion Racing Association Powered
by JEGS (CRA) and Kil-Kare Speedway announced today that the ARCA CRA/Super
Series Powered by JEGS will make their first ever appearance at Ohio’s Kil-Kare
Speedway on Sunday, September 15.  This event replaces the recently removed Baer
Field Speedway event.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to be at Kil-Kare,” noted CRA series director
and partner Glenn Luckett.  “They have a lot of great fans and racers in the area, and we
are looking forward to bringing CRA racing into their arena.”

The unique 3/8’s mile facility was purchased last year by area businessman David
Coterel, who also owns the Harley Davidson dealership in Xenia, OH.  “David and his staff
have made their mark on the facility early on,” CRA Managing Partner R. J. Scott
explained, “and bringing in CRA is another step towards showing the Kil-Kare fans that
the new management group is committed to putting the best product out there for their
fans.  We are expecting a great show that will hopefully lead to more CRA events in the
future.”

According to Kil-Kare Speedway’s Kyle Willetts, “It takes a lot of people working together to pull something like this off.  We have talked about trying to do something like this for a while and the stars just seemed to line up. We appreciate the opportunity to work with everyone at CRA and would especially like to thank the folks at Oakley Blacktop for being a big part of helping to make this happen.”  The event will be titled the Buckminn’s D&D Harley Davidson/Oakley Blacktop 125.

According to Thomas Oakley of Oakley Blacktop, “We are thrilled to help be a part of this event.  Kil-Kare Speedway is one of the raciest race tracks in Ohio, with plenty of two groove racing.  The thought of having the CRA traveling stars battle our great local racers from Kil-Kare, ShadyBowl and Columbus, is really what makes this exciting for everyone.  Kilkare used to have some great ARCA National events, and we are looking forward to putting Kil-Kare back on the national stock car scene.  When you think about it, many of the same racers who will be at Kil-Kare for this ARCA/CRA Super Series event will be running the Winchester 400 just four weeks later…that’s pretty exciting for fans and drivers alike!”

Complete details about the Sunday afternoon show at Kil-Kare will be released soon.  Be sure to follow www.cra-racing.com or www.kilkare.com for up to date information about the event.
