ARCA/CRA Super Series Points Leader, 19-Year-Old Travis Braden Hopes To Continue Hot Streak At LOR
25-Point Lead Over Kenny Tweedy going into the Night of the Stars 100 (Special from Travis Braden Motorsports)
July 25, 2013
Wheeling, West Virginia (July 25, 2013) – By now everyone knows about Johnny
VanDoorn winning the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 on July 20th at Anderson
Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. What the masses are also talking about regarding that
race was the bold move during the lap 150 break by current ARCA/CRA Super Series
Powered by JEGS Points Leader, Travis Braden, who was the only driver in the field to not
take any tires in an effort to gain more track position for the rest of the race on the fast 1/4
(0.250) mile high-banked paved oval.

The strategy paid off in more ways than one for the 19-year-old as he led the first three
laps out of the break before settling for a solid fifth place finish in the second jewel within
the $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series. More importantly he finished ahead of fellow title
chaser, Inaugural Series Champion from the 1997 season, Kenny Tweedy and now carries
a 25-point lead heading into the second race of a three events in three weekends  stretch
in the schedule.

The fast and immaculate 0.686 mile progressively banked paved oval of Lucas Oil
Raceway, located west of Indianapolis in Clermont, Indiana is the site for the Night of the
Stars 100 on Friday, July 26th and Braden knows that, barring something out of the
ordinary happening, it's going to come down to him and Tweedy in the chase for the 2013
ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Championship. Braden would like to add his
name to the list of winners at LOR that Tweedy is already on, twice.

"I'm pretty excited about this weekend, LOR is one of my favorite tracks that I've raced on. Knowing that we came out of Anderson with not only a good finish, but a drivable racecar has the whole team pumped for the rest of the season." The Wheeling, West Virginia driver stated. "We had a great run there at the end of last season, and with the hype on this weekend's events I really hope we can be at least as good as we were then and hopefully better." He added.

As a Championship title contender, Braden is also thinking ahead to that third race in three weekends for ARCA/CRA, the rescheduled Tri-State Collector Car Appraising 125 Presented by T.A.A.G. Incorporated at Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan on Saturday, August 3rd.  I'm also really pumped about the next race, at Berlin. We had a blazingly fast car for the 251 weekend, dominant in the crate race and a top three car in the 251 if it weren't for many "out of the ordinary" mishaps." He continued.

"I think we're going to have a huge two weeks and hopefully that'll put us in great position to finish out the season, which will get tougher after I go back to school in August." He ended. Braden leads Tweedy by 25 points and has one ARCA/CRA Win to his credit which came at the Winchester 100 on June 29th at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. He also has collected two top fives and three top 10s so far in his championship chasing season.
