2011 and 2010 Event Winners Join List of Early Entries for Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300

Salem, Indiana (July 11, 2013) – The list of entries to date for the upcoming Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway on July 20th continues to grow as 2011 event winner Steve Dorer from Lakeland, Florida, has now entered. Dorer made a daring outside pass of leader Chase Elliott in turn three and four coming to the checkers to earn the hard fought victory in the 2011 Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300. Dorer came back to finish second in last year’s event to winner Ross Kenseth.
Several CRA competitors have also now entered including three time series Champion and 2010 winner of the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 Scott Hantz. Also 2007 inaugural series Champion Kenny Tweedy, former series winner at Anderson Rick Turner, series regular Jay Niewiek, former series Rookie of the Year Tyler Roahrig, and Anderson Speedway and CRA veteran racer Joe Beaver. Also Boyne Machine Rookie of the Year candidates Ali Kern and Brandon Oakley have entered, along with former series regulars T.J. Fisher and Eddie Van Meter.
The Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 Weekend will begin with an open practice on Thursday, July 18th, pits will open at 4pm with practice going from 5 to 8pm. On Friday, July 19th, pits will open at 12noon, there will be an open practice for the Redbud 300 cars only from 1:30 until 3:30pm. Practice for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman will begin at 4:30pm, with qualifying at 6:15pm. Friday night’s race program will begin at 7:30 pm and will include the Anderson 100 Presented by JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and the $1500 to win PGG 75 Presented by Norrick Petroleum and Motion Motors for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models.
Pits open on Saturday, July 20th at 10am, there will be a two hour practice for the ARCA/CRA Super Series cars from 1 to 3pm, with EDCO Welding qualifying for the Redbud 300 beginning at 4:15pm. There will be an on track autograph session with all the drivers starting at 6pm, the green flag for the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 will drop at 7:30pm.
