Wheeling, West Virginia (June 13, 2013) – Travis Braden has been itching to get back on
the track since his last race back on May 4th. With two rain outs since then, the
Wheeling, West Virginia driver has had ample time to think about his 2013 racing season
and to reorganize his game plan for the rest of the year moving forward. Now the time
has come for him to get back out onto the race track and he'll make the most of it.
The 19-year-old is heading north to Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in
Marne, Michigan for the Battle at Berlin Weekend. On Friday, June 14th, he'll be making
his first start of the season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance by running in the tour's fourth race of the season; the Berlin 100 Presented
by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com.
Then on Saturday, June 15th, he'll reshift focus and get ready for the Inaugural Battle at
Berlin 251, the third race of the 2013 racing season for the ARCA/CRA Super Series
Powered by JEGS with a bonus $5,000 up for grabs to the driver who can win both the
JEGS/CRA race on Friday and again on Saturday in the ARCA/CRA headliner. To the
Mountaineer State driver, the extra bonus is worth going after.
"I'm looking forward to running the JEGS/CRA Race as well as the 251. We're running Friday mainly to learn, to Win of course and to guide us on how to attack the 251." Braden remarked. "We definitely want to take home both checkers and the $5,000 bonus. Live pit stops on Saturday, so strategy will win the race just like it does in Cup. We hope to play the cards right to get the best track position possible as well as having the best tires at the end of the race. Should be a blast." He added.
Coming into the weekend, Braden is sitting an impressive third place in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Points Standings heading into Berlin's ARCA/CRA Race. In the 19-year-old's last event, the second race of the ARCA/CRA season at the fast ¼ (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana back n May 4th for the Sell It Again Sam 125 Presented by Great Deals Magazine, Braden qualified fifth and finish sixth in the race. After a May 11th rain out at Berlin and again on June 1st at Springport, Braden is ready to get back behind the wheel.
"Anderson showed us that after our bad day at Toledo (Back on April 20th in the Border Wars 7-Up 150), we really weren't that far off we just missed it that day. We had a top five car all weekend and I thought throughput most of the race we had the speed to go up and win it." Explained the Wheeling, West Virginia driver. "Unfortunately with a mistake on my part and another incident that put us to the rear twice, it was hard to get to the front. I'm just ready to race, it's been way too long since Anderson." He ended.
