Jay Niewiek Sits Fifth Place In ARCA/CRA Super Series Points Heading To Home Track
19-year-old hopes for good showing in sponsors race/Sensiba to team up for this event (Special from Jay Niewiek Motorsports)

Cutlerville, Michigan (May 8, 2013) – A top 10 showing at a track where Jay Niewiek admittedly struggles at; the fast ¼ mile of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana in the Sell It Again Sam 125 Presented by Great Deals Magazine on May 4th has the 19-year-old brewing with optimism heading into the third race of the 2013 racing season in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.

His optimism is only enhanced by several factors; one is that the next race, set for Saturday, May 11th is at his home track of Berlin Raceway, located just 20 minutes from the Jay Niewiek Motorsports race shop in Marne, Michigan; secondly, the Tri-State Collector Car Appraising 125 Presented by T.A.A.G. Incorporated is sponsored by two of his primary backers, and thirdly, he’ll have a teammate for the event in the form of former ASA National Tour star, Middleville, Michigan veteran Dave Sensiba.

“This is our Daytona 500 without a doubt. We’ve got so many people coming out for this race, I’ve already learned a lot from Dave (Sensiba) over the last few weeks and now I get to race with him and we’re back home,” The excited Cutlerville, Michigan teenager stated as his Jay Niewiek Motorsports Team busily prepares two cars for the race at the historic fairgrounds oval. “

Heading into the Berlin race, Niewiek, the Three-Time Cometic Gaskets Hard-Charger of the Year Award Winner in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS is sitting a solid fifth place in the season long point’s standings. “I think now that the bad luck is gone. We can hopefully focus on getting some top fives, earning some points and maybe even get a win or two.” He ended.

As for Sensiba, this will be his first start in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS since the 2010 racing season when he finished 12th driving for Caleb Bisacky at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana on September 18th in the Welch & Wilson Motorsports Rock N Race 100. The now 50-year-old driver was a stand out in the now defunct ASA National Tour having raced in the series from 1992-2004 as he finished a career best sixth in the points standings on three different occasions in 1997, 1997 & 1999.

For the rest of the 2013 racing season Niewiek will make a run at the 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Championship while also making as many appearances as the schedule allows in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. In addition, he’ll also run select races at his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) in the facilities’ seven-race Budweiser Super Late Models Series.

For Berlin, Niewiek’s #84 and Sensiba’s #48 with identical blue pain schemes will be sporting Ford Fusion bodies and carry sponsorship decals on the side of each car from; Michigan CAT of Grand Rapids as well as T.A.A.G. Incorporated, Cordes Trucking, Tri-State Collector Car Appraising , TerryTownRV.com, Precision Property Management, and M.P.H. Promotions.
