Walker, Michigan (May 8, 2013) – The 2013 racing season has been an adventurous one so far for Brandon Hermiller and his H.S. Die / VISI-TST Ford Racing Team. The driver and crew have traveled all over the country and so far this year, a season high finish of an eighth at the 37th annual Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama back on March 17th is the best showing the team has mustered up. Hermiller and crew know they are better than that and hope the next race on the calendar shows it.

The Tri-State Collector Car Appraising 125 Presented by T.A.A.G. Incorporated, the third race of the 2013 racing season for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS is at Hermiller’s home track, Berlin Raceway, located just west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan this Saturday, May 11th and is a race that Hermiller, the 2011 Pro Stock Track Champion at Berlin, and the team have been waiting for all season long.

“I think we will do well at Berlin. We will finally be back in the primary car which was fast at the early test this season there and it’ll especially be nice to be back racing with the ARCA/CRA Super Series.” The 20-year-old said. “They always do a great job at running their shows and are very professional series.  I feel like we can stack up well against the ARCA/CRA regulars along with the tough local Berlin competitors.” He added.

In Hermiller’s last race at Berlin, a short 10 minute drive to their home track back on April 27th for the tracks Budweiser Super Late Models which features template bodied Super Late Models that adhere to the rules and regulations of the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and after qualifying 12th fastest out of 23 teams on the grounds, his race would end early though not of his own doing.

“Last time there was a frustrating race. We were fast all day and we were running in fourth when we got spun by a lapped car.” He explained. “Then when we were getting ready to fire the car back up and get rolling, we got slammed into by another car that must not have known the caution was out. When that car hit us, it put a hole in the radiator and we were done.” Hermiller ended.

In Hermiller’s last ARCA/CRA race, the Border Wars 7-Up 150 at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the ARCA Midwest Tour combination race, a stacked field of 43 teams were on the grounds and the top 20 would come through Qualifying. Goal #1 for the team was to make the show on time and that’s exactly what the 20-year-old did as he timed in 19th and would not have to run one of the two last chance races.

After running in the top 15 for almost the entire race, mechanical problems sidelined Hermiller and he was relegated to a 20th place finish. “It's a shame the clutch burnt up with 10 to go. We were about to break into the top 10 and we were on the move to a pretty solid finish.” He explained. “The car was fast that’s for sure and knowing we can compete with some of the best drivers in the country gives us a ton of confidence for the rest of the season.” He ended.

For the rest of the 2013 campaign, the H.S. Die Team will compete primarily in the bigger shows within the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as well as the ARCA Midwest Tour. He'll also race in select events in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance as well as at his home track of Berlin in the facilities’ Budweiser Super Late Models Series.
