2013 Rookie Title Contender continues Freshman title chase at Anderson Speedway (Special from Brandon Oakley Racing)
May 3, 2013
Beavercreek, Ohio (May 3, 2013) – The fast ¼ (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana is up next on the schedule for Brandon Oakley and the Brandon Oakley Racing Teams on Saturday, May 4th for the rescheduled Sell It Again Sam 125 Presented by Great Deals Magazine which was postponed back on April 13th due to unseasonably cold temperatures. No one has looked more forward to this race than Oakley himself.

"We didn't get to do much testing before Toledo. Going to test whole day is definitely going to help us this week." The 18-year-old explained in reference to the last race on the schedule, the Border Wars 7-Up 150 at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio back on April 20th. Unfortunately for Oakley, he qualified 29th out of 43 teams on the grounds and was unable to transfer into the main from the Last Chance Race.

As for Anderson, the Beavercreek, Ohio driver has plenty of optimism heading into the second ARCA/CRA Super Series race of the season and the goal of capturing the 2013 Rookie of the Year title is still on the top of his list of goals for the current season. “"The goal is to go out and get the best finish we can every week, and make sure we're having fun. That's what it's all about." He continued.

Oakley is riding high after winning his first Feature of the season at the uniquely shaped 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Kil-Kare Speedway, located only 10 minutes from the Brandon Oakley Racing shops in Xenia, Ohio back on April 26th in the tracks weekly Late Models division. “I appreciate Bobby Wells for the opportunity to drive the car. It was fast. We’ll be heading back to Kil-Kare on Friday to try and repeat and then travel back to Anderson for the ARCA/CRA race on Saturday. It’s going to be a busy weekend.” He ended.
