Long Wait For Next ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered By JEGS Race Is Fine With Jay Niewiek
Springport Motor Speedway and the Springport 125 Awaits (Special from Jay Niewiek Motorsports)
May 29, 2013
Cutlerville, Michigan (May 29, 2013) – Three Weeks is a long time to wait for any driver in any touring
series. When your 20-years-old and you're competing in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by
JEGS, that impatience is magnified. Jay Niewiek has been itching to get back behind the wheel
since his last race back on May 4th in Anderson, Indiana and now he'll get that chance this
Saturday, June 1st.

The third race of the 2013 racing season is set for the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of
Springport Motor Speedway, located south of Lansing and north of Jackson in Springport, Michigan
as the running of the Springport 125 was originally scheduled to be race #4 on the ARCA/CRA
calendar. But a rain out at Niewiek's home track of Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on May 11th
was the culprit for Niewiek's lengthy wait.

"We've been going over the cars again and again, making sure everything is where it's supposed to
be, making sure everything is tight on the car. We're ready to race." The Cutlerville, Michigan driver stated. "I like Springport even though our results from last year didn't show it with a 13th. I think we'll be very good in this race and just maybe this is the one that we can build something for the rest of the season on." He added.

Going into the Springport event, Niewiek, the Three-Time Cometic Gaskets Hard-Charger of the Year Award Winner in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS is sitting a solid fifth place in the season long points standings only 18 markers out of the points lead. With another top 10 finish, Niewiek will certainly move up at least one position and possible more.

A top 10 showing in his last race at a track where he admittedly struggles at; the ¼ mile of Anderson Speedway in the Sell It Again Sam 125 Presented by Great Deals Magazine has the 19-year-old brewing with optimism heading into the new third race of the season in ARCA/CRA competition; “I think now that the bad luck is gone. We can hopefully focus on getting some top fives, earning some points and maybe even get a win or two.” He ended.

For the remainder of the 2013 racing season Niewiek will make a run at the 2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Championship while also making select appearances, as the schedule allows, in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. In addition, he’ll also run select races at his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) in the facilities’ Budweiser Super Late Models Series.

At Springport, Niewiek’s powder blue #84 sporting a Ford Fusion body, will carry sponsorship decals on the side of the car from; Michigan CAT of Grand Rapids as well as T.A.A.G. Incorporated, Cordes Trucking, Tri-State Collector Car Appraising , TerryTownRV.com, Precision Property Management, and M.P.H. Promotions.
