CRA Announces JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown
Major ARCA/CRA Super Series Events at Anderson, Berlin and Winchester take Center Stage
April 5, 2013
Salem, IN (April 5, 2013) – Champion Racing Association (CRA) officials announced today the JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown.  The three major points events for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway, the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway, and the Legendary Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway will make up the three events in the challenge for the Crown title.

Any driver who can win all three Triple Crown events will receive a $100,000 bonus.  Any driver who wins two Triple Crown events will receive a $10,000 bonus.  If no driver wins two of the Triple Crown events, the driver who accumulates the most points during those three events will receive a $5,000 bonus and the title of Champion of the JEGS/CRA $100,00 Super Late Model Triple Crown.

A driver must be present and attempt to make the field in all three of the Triple Crown events to be eligible for any of the bonuses.

“We put together a similar bonus program a few years back,” noted CRA co-owner and Series Director Glenn Luckett, “and it generated a great deal of excitement and exposure for the racers.  With the Redbud 300 increasing its purse, and Berlin’s event gaining the national attention it has, it made perfect sense to pair them up with the Winchester 400’s great tradition and recognition.  Putting them all together made sense from another perspective, as the winner of the Triple Crown will be someone who can put it all together on three very different race tracks.”

Each event in the JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown will also have a “tune-up” event earlier in the season, before each leg of the Triple Crown is run.  The first Triple Crown event will be the Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway on June 15th with a tune-up event on May 11th. Leg number two of the Triple Crown will be the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway on July 20th, with their tune-up event just around the corner on April 13th.  The third and final leg, where the Triple Crown Champion will be crowned, will be the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway on October 13th.  Winchester has two opportunities to tune-up for the big event with additional ARCA/CRA Super Series events on June 29th and September 2nd.

The eyes of the racing world will be on these three special events, and leading the coverage will be Speed51.com.  The Speed51.com staff will be at each of the Triple Crown events to provide extensive and in-depth coverage of all the action.
