Walker, MI (April 18, 2013) – Two races into the 2013 racing season, Brandon Hermiller has been encouraged by the progress made by his H.S. Die/VISI-TST Ford Racing Team. After an accident took him out of SpeedFest 2013 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia back on January 27th, Hermiller and the crew made the haul from Walker, Michigan to the 37th annual Rattler 250 Weekend at South Alabama Speedway in Kinston (Opp), Alabama and came away with a hard fought ninth place finish after starting 19th on the grid.

Now the race season begins closer to home for the 20-year-old as the team has been eager to go all out for the rest of the 2013 campaign and it all starts on Saturday, April 20th in the Border Wars 7-Up 150 at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway, located south of the Michigan / Ohio state line in Toledo, Ohio. The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the ARCA Midwest Tour will team up for their first ever combo race and the entry list is staggering.

“We have high expectations for this race and I think we have the equipment and the cars to run with the fast guys.” The Walker, Michigan driver predicted. “The competition from looking at the entry list looks real strong. There are a lot of good drivers. I'm excited to get back behind the wheel again! It's been a few weeks since our last race in Alabama.” He added.

For the rest of the 2013 racing season, the team will compete primarily in the bigger shows within the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as well as the ARCA Midwest Tour. He'll also race in select events in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour as well as at his home track of Berlin Raceway, located just 10 minutes from the Walker, Michigan race shop in Marne, Michigan in the tracks Coors Light Silver Bullet Super Late Models Series. “The plans for the remainder of the year are to just hit all the big races and race on some of the bigger tracks. We are jumping around quite a bit this year.” He ended.

The 2012 racing season saw Hermiller compete for the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance where he finished as the freshman runner-up in the Salem, Indiana based series to Anderson Bowen while also finishing ninth overall in the season long points chase. He grabbed three top 10 finishes, all of which were 10th place showings and those came at Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Indiana in May, also at Berlin in August and at Watermelon Capital Speedway last October.
