Team Construction Clean Sweep Award up to $500 for the 7-UP 150 this Weekend
Fast Qualifier Can Win Bonus by Sweeping the Event
April 16, 2013
Salem, IN (April 16, 2013) – The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award will be at $500 for this Saturday’s 7-UP 150 Border Wars event at Toledo Speedway. Saturday’s event will be the first ever Co-sanctioned event with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the ARCA Midwest Tour Presented by Scag Power Equipment and Lester Buildings. Saturday’s event has already draw 51 entries from 11 states.

The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award consists of a $100 cash bonus if an event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier can also win that same event. If the fast qualifier fails to win, the $100 cash bonus is then rolled over to the next event until an events fast qualifier wins that same event. After a fast qualifier wins, the award starts over again at $100.

The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award went unclaimed for six events in 2012 until Johnny VanDoorn won the $700 award at the series event at Dixie Motor Speedway on August 3rd. The award has not been claimed since, so $400 of the award for this weekend carried over from the 2012 season.

Digging ditches and laying pipe for utility companies, private contractors and developers isn't a glamorous or often appreciated job. It is a job that requires preparation, commitment to job safety, and good old-fashioned hard work.  And that's what makes Nashville, Tennessee based Team Construction a star player in the league of gas and utility contractors. The foundation of the company starts in the trenches, where they put their backs into their work - literally - every day. Team Construction is Safety, Service, and Experience through great employees. Mason Mingus, the 18 year old son of Team Construction owner Donnie Mingus, is entered for Saturday’s 7-UP 150. Mingus is a former full-time competitor with the ARCA/CRA Super Series, but is running the full ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards schedule in 2013 and is currently tied for the series points lead with Frank Kimmel after two events so far this season.
