Walker, Michigan (October 9, 2013) – It's been a learning year filled with highs and lows
for 20-year-old Brandon Hermiller during the 2013 racing season. Despite not following any
one particular touring series on a full-time basis, he and his H.S. Die / VISI-TST Ford
Racing Team have spent the majority of their campaign with the ARCA/CRA Super Series
Powered by JEGS and the biggest race of the season for the series is this Friday-Sunday,
October 11-13th.
The 42nd running of the Winchester 400 is at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked
paved oval of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. A stacked field is already pre-
entered and Hermiller knows that this event is a good measuring stick for how far he has
come during this race season in terms of going up against some of the best drivers in the
country.
"I'm excited for the 400. I think we will have a good car and I am excited to see how we
stack up against some really good drivers." The Walker, Michigan driver stated. "I think
we're going to be real good and I can't wait to get down there and get on the big 1/2 mile.
We've raced there before in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the CRA Late Model
Sportsman Series, so we know the track. Plus its 400 laps, anything can happen and
usually does." He added.
Despite missing some ARCA/CRA Super Series races, Hermiller is ninth in points and is looking to remain in the final top 10 in the driver's point's standings. He has four top 10 finishes with a season high of a sixth coming at his home track of Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan back on August 3rd.
After Winchester, plans are for Hermiller and the H.S. Die Team to make the trip south to Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday-Saturday, November 1-2nd for the prestigious All-American 400, which serves as the Championship race for the Southern Super Series. It is also co-sanctioned with the ARCA/CRA Super Series as the event will serve as a non-points race for ARCA/CRA.
For the rest of the 2013 racing season, Hermiller's red #6 H.S. Die / VISI-TST Ford Racing Team Port City Racecars Ford Fusions, one with an Ernie Elliott Engine and another with a Crate Motor under the hood will carry sponsorship decals and support all season long from; H.S.
