Racing's Back! Memphis 250 Up Next On October 26th
October 21, 2013
Salem, Indiana (October 21, 2013) – The future of racing will be in front of Memphis area race
fans, when legendary names like Kenseth and Wallace are part of the Racing's Back!
Memphis 250 at Memphis International Raceway on Saturday, October 26. Second
Generation drivers Ross Kenseth and Stephen Wallace headline a growing list of quality
drivers entered as part of the 3/4 mile oval's return to racing. Champion Racing Association
will host two 125 lap races...one each for the Super Late Models of the ARCA/CRA Super
Series Powered by JEGS and the Pro/ Crate Late Models of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance.

Kenseth, the son of NASCAR Champion Matt Kenseth, is coming off a couple of seasons of
significant short track victories, where he claimed titles in the Winchester 400, the All
American 400 and Redbud 300, all in the same year. For part time NASCAR Nationwide and
Truck Series driver, Wallace, son of NASCAR Champion Rusty Wallace, the Memphis event
marks the first time he has have ever competed in the JEGS All-Star Tour Late Models.
Stephen is on the short list of active drivers who can lay claim to Short Track racing's biggest
prize when he won the 37th Annual Snowball Derby for Super Late models.

Besides Kenseth and Wallace, many other top drivers in late model competition are
committed to racing in this very special event in Memphis. This list includes Eddie Hoffman,
winner of three prestigious late model championship and multiple big wins in major events including "CRA SpeedFest" (one win), " All American 400" (two wins), "OktoberFest" (three wins) and "National Short Track Championships" (four wins total, including 2013 title).

Hoffman will be doing double duty this weekend, and is chasing victories at a track he feels owes him one...or two. In years past the Illinois driver has seen sure victories at Memphis fall from his grasp, once after losing an engine while dominating a race, and another when he led the event on the white flag lap, only to be passed on the last corner, staring at the checkered flag. Hoffman and his team come to Memphis very hungry for the victory there.

Michigan hot shoe Brian Campbell is also on the entry list. Campbell is a former ASA champion, and has claimed the title in prestigious "Rowdy 251", defeating the event's namesake, Kyle "Rowdy" Busch.

Tennessee will be well represented by Willie Allen, who has won two straight limited late model and two straight Pro Late Model events at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. Allen will also do double duty in this weekend’s feature events.

Nathan Haseleu is making the trek to Memphis as well. The Wisconsin driver is a former Truck Series driver for Jack Roush, and is fresh off claiming the "OktoberFest" title earlier this month in ARCA Midwest Tour completion.

Another driver doing double duty at Memphis will be Anderson Bowen. He has raced in multiple series this season, including starts in the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR K&N Series, where he won the pole in his first ever start in Iowa. Bowen laid claim to his first CRA victory last October at Watermelon Capital Speedway.

Young Indiana teenager Corey Deuser is also entered. Deuser is fresh off winning the hotly contested Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Presented by Howe Racing battle in the JEGS Tour this year, as well as his first ever victory in the series just one week ago at Winchester Speedway.

Former Rattler 250 winner Jeff Fultz is on the entry list, as well as 2011 CRA Champion and Winchester 400 pole sitter Derrick Griffin and CRA regular Terry Fisher Jr., always a tough competitor.

North Carolina veteran racer Colt James is also making the trip to Memphis. James is threat every time he takes to the track, with past titles in the "Mason Dixon Meltdown" and the "North/South Shootout". His North Carolina teammate Mark Gibson is also entered.

This list of series champions gets even bigger with the addition of 2011 ARCA Midwest Tour Champion Andrew Morrissey. The Wisconsin driver will lead a contingent of three Badger state drivers that include Haseleu and Robert Maynor.

In all, 13 different states are represented in the early entries for the "Racing's Back! Memphis 250"
